he's a steady hand and if we do survive he deserves another season once all this points deduction crap is over and the ownership issues are sorted out
I'm not so sure. The three week break levelled alot of the onfield issues in terms of fitness, rest and then he dished up the Bournemouth game. That to me at least suggests something is wrong. The same squad fought the 10 points back... now, we are 1 win in 14 games, unable to score unless from a mistake. He's banging his head on the ceiling..

Lampard & Benitez showed that there's a limit to how safe that seat is.
Lampard and Benitez managed different clubs even, I would say.

We are in real red alert hours. The sub has lost power. The iceberg has struck and the lifeboats have been loosed.

Worst thing is I honestly think the fanbase and wider football culture still hasn't grasped where we are as a club. A month away from administration at any point from here on in.

I'm not a fan and this run has got me leaning towards showing him the door this summer.

However, without the points deduction we'd he on 35 points, comfortably 14th. Is this squad really any better than that? Our wingers are as bad as they come in the prem, strikers bad, right back bad, no depth anywhere to replace underperforming players.

We are a bad squad with some good players. I dont think I could look at those in mid table and say our squad is as good as theirs.

The football is bad and this run has been terrible. But any semblance of less than bad form for the remainder of the season + safety and I don't know how you can sack him.

The squad is only going to get worse next season with forced sales unless our recruitment suddenly finds some bargains which we haven't really done in years.

A must win game at home against a direct rival. We had 37% of the ball. Set up to win ugly? Yep... dog rough ugly.

But we did win and that's really all that's important at this stage of the season. If we can scrape a draw against Chelsea it'd be 5 points in 3 games which is hard to argue with when every point matters.

Yeah, I get that mate. My point is, this is why we don't win more games. He doesn't set up to win them, just hopes to not lose. Where is the drive to grab the points we need to avoid the last day fights?

How many points do you think this squad should have

Good Lord, signing up for 5-10 YEARS of the Sean Dyche experience. Fucking madness. You seriously want him opening BMD with his hoofball? Why did we even bother building the fucking thing, then?

I'll keep repeating myself - let him finish out his contract, and that's that. He keeps us up, by whatever means, shake his hand and everybody walks away content. You don't extend him, you don't let him shape the squad any further.

You can probably make the same argument for almost every player who'll start next season. Do we really want them playing for us at BMD?? Unfortunately we are shit and penniless. You might not like the reality but that's the reality

Certainly 3 more than we have now.. ie the Bournemouth game. Utterly disgraceful after a 3 week break from competitive games. We lacked ideas, intent and fight. The disconnect was palpable, yet he still sticks with his 'strategy'. So, whilst hard to be exact... defo 3 more than now. If we set up to win ugly against Forrest they'll beat us
