Summer Transfer Window 2026
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Is he any good? Sounds a bit shite tbh but so are the rest of them so maybe does right in
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Pinch of salt given the original Turkish source, but we've been linked regularly with him

If we get him then we’re not getting Jack back and or Ndaiye is off.
Looked good in the World Cup, definitely has the pace.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I've been banging the drum for this as a cheap signing with big potential for a while now.
He was class in the championship before his ACL, with Leicester fans describing him as a cheat code for that level... and although Leicester were horrendous last season he still contributed 16 goal involvements on a rapidly sinking ship.
As long as the price reflects the fact they're a league one club with financial issues then it could be a great bargain basement deal.

Him and george would change how we can play in transition. So many times last year we struggled to take advantage of opportunities because we didn't have that pace

Fatawu looks a player. Way more direct too which I think we still lack, especially if we're trying to feed strikers like Beto and Barry who probably both would want faster transitions.
Slightly tenuous link though, so we'll see if it turns into anything more concrete. Had a few injuries mind, so would have to price accordingly.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Apologies for going back to the stones conversation but I think we should look at bringing him in for his experience alone to work with branthwaite and JOB and to step in when injuries/suspensions occur or even to help game manage a win when we need it….look at the amount of times we gave good leads away last season…which were debatably down to errors from tarks and keane……
whats in my head is can’t see Moyes playing JOB and branthwaite together early in the season…can see him playing tarks with branthwaite (can’t see him dropping tarks tbh)….2-0 up with 30-20 mins left….its now tarks time to make a mistake as per usual… bring stones on to mentor branthwaite through to the end…..use in the same way if it’s a tarks JOB starting pair…..or even Keane with one of the pair….hope that makes sense….

Whilst Stones does not excite me, he seems to be a better option than MadeOfGlass Keane or IWantASecondYellow Tarkowski
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Question is….is tarks or Keane a better mentor for branthwaite and JOB than Stones..?

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Played for England and played his way into a big expensive move to a top team, so yeah. I would prefer him as a mentor than either of the others with their relegation fight stories and Burnley experience.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I'm not too bothered about the mentor, he'd walk in as the best defender we have, and that's about it. Him and Branthwaite for the 2 games they'd probably play together next season would be amazing.
Tarks and Keane are both shit, and I'm not sure JOB is much better.
I don't see it as being a move Moyes will want anyway, I expect Tarks to be club captain next year, and Keane signed another year. I suspect he's happy with the plodders we've got as they'll give 110%, run through walls and throw themselves into everything etc etc etc

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Id like stones back but I suspect the financial aspect would make zero sense. We cant be paying a centre back 150k a week when its a position we arent bad in and certainly not 1 whos struggled to stay fit
