I’d be tempted to give him a go on the left wing during pre-season to see if he’s any better there

In our position another loan is brilliant and we’ll bring in another wide player imo so have Harrison, McNeil, Dobbin, new guy as options. This is obviously if the reported Villa switcheroo doesn’t come off. It’s not ideal of course but we are skint.

I’d also like to see us bring in a ball playing midfielder who can get the ball to Harrison quicker so we can see if it’s actually worth buying him in future. Last season we moved the ball very slowly and only really had Jack as an outlet on the wing so it was easy to defend against him

Loan is absolutely fine.

Didn't want us to be spending money on him

He works well in our current system and I think suffered from playing a bit too much last year in the end, we need better but we have lots and lots of problem areas and I think as long as we don't see him as a starter week in week out then it's ideal.

Jack is perfectly good squad filler, given the minimal cost (Leeds-calibre wages). We know he'll at least play hard, can't say that about Kalvin Phillips.

Meh, at least we've not paid a transfer fee for him. Thought he was pretty shite other than a couple of bangers but we are what we are at the moment and he fills a role.

Yeah that's it really, I think he could equip himself a bit better and it would be nice if he did. Perfectly fine with him as a body out wide.

He's probably better LW? Abd dwizz mcnizz has that sewed up soooo...

Could do with a difference maker out wide, as McNeil and Harrison isn't enough as it stands.

Like to see him on LW to see if he can get proper crosses in on the run, rather than cut back all the time, rotate Dwight with the Douc/whoever.

He needs to grow some wings, its painful watching him trying to beat people who can walk past him

Should be tried LW, but as Dwight has no right foot at all he is the compromise.

Wouldn't mind seeing him or both him and Dwight behind DCL (4411 or 3421) as they can both pick a deft pass for Dom to run on to, or to move it around the box with quick feet to create space for a cross.

I'm not a fan of his but in his defence he had a geriatric or a boxer behind him at RB. I think with someone better there he'd improve his link up play.

Overall I think it's a good move, low fee, lowish wages, ok standard, no time to bed in - reduces squad upheaval as players come and go this summer.
