Bumbling along until January, slight pickup from there, then a strong end to the season with the team coming together just in time to stop playing for the summer.

This isn't the season to struggle. The promoted sides seem to be doing well, and currently the likes of West Ham and Wolves are under performing. They could easy turn it on.
So its really important we keep on gaining points.
A win tomorrow, and I'll be a lot more optimistic about this season.

Check point progress should be the half way stage after Forest away. I'd expect us to be on around 25-27 points.

Would be doing very well to get to that sort of range with the fixtures we have in that time. Low 20s would seem more realistic to me, but we'll see.

7/8 points from the next four home games. A couple of surprise away wins I think at the likes of either Sunderland or Bournemouth.
Two of the three defeats have come away to the two of three best sides in the league.
I think with the points put on the board mid 20s should be achievable with the fixtures we have to that point.

I can't really argue against what you're saying as I really don't know how good or bad we are right now. We've played really well, we've played poorly and we've got a bit lucky at times with some of the wins (and a bit unlucky with the Leeds game). I can't really work out our level as yet.
Don't think any of those upcoming home games are easy though, Spurs, Fulham, Newcastle, Forest (Dyche) are all going to be tough games. We'll see.

I'm slightly worried, due to us not having a competent striker.
Do you think he would play Ndiaye up top at all?

I think he'll persist with rotating Barry/Beto until one clicks. If not, then it'll be bringing in someone on loan in Jan.

Probably going to be another battle isn’t it?
Shame the way we started with Grealish it felt we might have a more hopeful season. Right now though we’re in the soup with Leeds, Burnley, Forest, Wolves, West Ham and Fulham more than we are anything else.
We’re likely better than a few of those, but I’d feel better about it if we could create more from the middle and give the strikers a bit more to work with.

Just needs to change it. But he loves his favourites doesn't he.

Gotta persevere with Garner at Rb.
Get Jake in the Center or drop him.
Get Rohl in the middle.
Persist with Barry.
In Jan sign a striker and a RB.

Until I see either striker be fed the ball more reliably, swapping the forwards feels like shuffling deck chairs.
Alcaraz probably you think needs a chance as currently he’s the only one who has shown willingness to drive forward and create from the middle.
The fullback issue is the most glaring for me still.

In trouble now.
Had one of the easiest starts possible and we're now 1 point above relegation certainties Burnley and level with Leeds.
United, Bournemouth and Chelsea all away before Xmas with Arsenal and Newcastle thrown in for December.
Averaging just over 1 point per game, will that save you this season? Maybe. Maybe not.

Don’t think we’ve had a particularly easy start? We’ve faced some good teams in this run, the main exceptions being Wolves and West Ham. The issue really is that there are few nailed on games as the promoted teams are a lot better.
