That's actually a very poor squad.

The midfield stands out as strong - Bellingham, Rice, Palmer, Rogers - but the rest is underwhelming.

The opposite for me, If he’s getting picked whilst with us then he doesn’t have to leave to a more “glamorous “ club, he might think he needs to go to a higher profile club to get England recognition.

Genuinely can’t understand how he doesn’t get picked. Strong left footed CB that can play with the ball at his feet.

Not sure that matters too much - Pickford for example has been chosen ahead of his rivals who have played for more glamorous clubs. No doubt he’ll get picked at some point if he keeps playing consistently well
