It would have to be a pretty good offer on the table to consider this. Lacking numbers already, this would put serious pressure on us to bring in a lot of players in one window.
And for all his faults, I like Beto, even if I would prefer him as a backup striker.

I like the big fella, get his shots off, gets goals.
But I just don't think he's complete enough and I don't think he ever will be.
Would love him to have worked out but I think we know what we know.

That would be a lovely contribution to sending them back down.
Take it.

If he will settle for being second choice I would keep him.

Good Bamford replacement, scores slightly more goals
On my way down now, will loop round the Leeds ring road until he's ready for me to take him there.

If we signed a main first choice striker this summer, re signed DCL, sent Chermitti out on loan, then I'd be happy to keep him as a sort of "break glass in a case of an emergency" style striker.
But he's awful, genuinely a terrible footballer. Bring him on for some chaos last 15 but other than that if they're dozy enough to give us at least the money back we outlayed for him then we need to be snapping their hands off.

Leeds 20m. (Slightly over amortisation)
Fancy attempting to weaken a rival like that.
Sneaky buggers.

Is this gonna be some PSR shenanigans where we sell them Beto for 25m and in turn buy Harrison for 20m (when in reality it should be 10m and 5m)?

If he plays 38 games a season he easily scores 15.
He’ll never get that chance though as the rest of his play is so poor.
If you can’t back into the centre half and win the ball more often than you lose it then you’re not going to be a premier league striker.
Assuming an average of 70 minutes a game that would be a goal every 180 minutes which he's hit this season but accross his whole time here it's been closer to one every 220.
I'd also add that that rate of scoring is a really high bar - only Mateta, Mbuemo, Barnes, Cunha, Wood, Wissa, Haaland, Isak & Salah have hit that.

Is it really that high a bar if nine players have achieved it?
We’ll never know anyway because he won’t play enough games to hit it.

If we pull that off I'll be dancing in the street, imagine getting £20m back for a player nowhere near good enough for the league. Absolute dream territory that... Hope it happens

Just for context, other strikers during and post Lukaku premier league games and (goals). If I missed any please let me know, didnt count "forwards" (gordon, james etc) just the big lumps up front. I counted Richarlison although he played a large proprtion on the left of DCL.
Arouna Kone 47 (6)
Samuel Eto 14 (3)
Oumar Niasse 35 (8)
Dominic Calvert-Lewin 236 (57)
Enner Valencia 21 (0)
Cenk Tosun 50 (9)
Sandro Ramirez 8 (0)
Moise Kean 32 (2)
Josh King 11 (0)
Salomon Rondon 27 (1)
Richarlison 135 (43)
Neal Maupay 29 (1)
Youssef Chermiti 20 (0)
Broja 10 (0)
Beto 57 (10)
Not many in that liat that made more of an impact than Beto. DCL and Richarlison aside, very slim pickings.
Given his improvement second half of the season, go all in on a new striker and keep Beto as back up for a season, then replace him in time, is my personal view.

Would have him in the top three of that list.
DCL
Richy
Beto
The rest can all go away.
