I'd wager that's what the whole city is like. "What can we do about it?" "Your club would be the same" "What about the likes of Man City and PSG though?" "The PL don't let us spend money anyway" All whilst gleefully revelling in the Saudi success and being in denial about selling their souls to the devil.
They're happy the Saudis own them. We know how unhappy fans act towards owners of their club and we see none of that behavior from Newcastle fans.
Not unhappy, but also not happy. Begrudging acceptance would be the most accurate description. They know they aren't getting rid of the Saudi's and didn't have any say in it happening.
Like most fans of most clubs they just want to watch their team and support them, their reaction to the ownership will largely be affected by the team's performance on the pitch. If things emulated the Ashley era they'd be protesting too, but the results are obviously not of that ilk so they aren't.

It's a good question, if by not doing anything you're supporting the Saudi regime then what would people here do if it happened to us?
It’s low hanging fruit, as is asking somebody what they’re doing to fight the Saudi regime.
You’re all over the place and the only reason you’re so defensive is because you’re from Newcastle which in itself is tribalism.

I'm not from Newcastle, I'm from Yorkshire. I don't even like the city of Newcastle, much prefer Durham where I live and Northumberland.
I'm not all over the place at all, you do realise within 5 years TFG will most likely have flipped us for a huge profit and they're currently apparently in talks with the PIF to sell Roma to them. There's a decent chance we'll be in the exact same position down then line, so those saying Newcastle fans should do something are potentially going to have to find something themselves at some point
If people don't want to say what that is because then they might be held to it then fair enough, but I'm not sure why we can talk about one side and not the other. If criticising what would you do if it happened to you, seems a fair question to me.

I’ve said plenty of times on here I’d hate the Saudis or Qatar taking over us and would very much question my support of the club as it wouldn’t be our club anymore.
Would probably pack it in yeah, or at least take a back seat.
I think it’s pointless talking about hypothetical situations though. Talk about the here and now, the Saudis using the trophy to promote themselves, fan accounts using it to promote Saudi Arabia, chairman of pif lifting the trophy.
Stop deflecting, you’re a shining example of how all of this works.

I've said many times I agree with the things you're saying like Saudi's using the trophy to promote themselves, content creators accepting money to promote it (although that'd happen literally at every club) and the chairman lifting the trophy on the pitch... It's all grim and a reflection of the dangerous path football is on and has been for some time.
My argument is always to separate the every day fan from the criticism as like you and me they had no say in it.
I actually know one bloke who gave up his season ticket over the ownership issue, it didn't affect anything other than he can't go to matches now and if he ever wanted to get another season ticket he'd be at the back of a ten year waiting list. At what point do you bang your head against a wall in futile attempts to push back against something? 99% of fans from any club don't have that energy or willingness for self sacrifice for zero effect.
