Mental strength tbh. To manage the boos (not directed at him but due to him coming on)

Missing the pen. Groans at all the rubbish play etc

Managed it all and still puts his all in.

Still don't rate him now but fair play.

One of the most important players in the squad… which says everything about the squad.

I swear this squad is nowhere near as bad as being made out.

We were 12th last season (minus the deduction) and have added to it.

It’s not great and nowhere near where we’d like to be but it is greatly exaggerated how bad this squad and team is.

Just take a look at the team we played today. Absolutely miles ahead.

No where near most important player!!!

And agree. The team is good. Not great but individually we have a decent team.

put in 6/7 shifts for quite a few weeks since he was sent off, it could be worse.

Been coming back from that fairly big injury he had at the back end of last season.

I think calling this team ‘decent’ shows how bad things have been for a long time.

Adequate for survival? Yes.

Decent? No.
Good to watch? No.
Reliable? No.
Expected to challenge for anything? No.
Exciting? Only if you’re the opposition.

Thats a little unfair I think.
He went in hard on their left back early doors and knocked the stuffing out of the lad.

Had a cracking game against Ipswich, is on a good run of games, who would you play ahead of him when all RB’s fit, Coleman, Patto or Dixon ?

At his best, no one, at his worst, all of the above.

It's his position to lose as far as I see it.

Aye, if you want to breed high standards then competition for places is hugely important. If a player is playing well and is rewarded by keeping their place then it forces the player waiting for a turn to raise their game, and of course the player retaining his place knows he needs to keep performing.

It's why imo Keane needs to start the next game because otherwise what's the message? Play well and get dropped? Likewise for Young, he's been really solid and deserves to retain his position.

The difference between branthwaite and Keane is insurmountable by performance.

That gap isn't the same between young and Coleman or whoever else.
