Paddy boyland said on the blue room last week that our transfer plans changed drastically when the initial takeover fell through.
PSR wasn’t as much as an issue as not having anybody to put money into the club was.
It’s still an issue but we should be able to use any money we bring in instead of putting it into the club.
We will sell Branthwaite and have that money to spend.
Even with a balanced books and no PSR worries - we are still a sell-to-buy club for a while longer (until we wipe out our debt and increase our revenue, which doesn't sound like it will be too far away)

Yeah will make a big difference not selling to stay afloat and selling to buy that's for sure!

Yes, might not bode as well as we'd like. You'd hope owners could see past their own ego to study, observe good examples, and take advice from people in the game.
The financial side many seem reasonably adept at managing, but the footballing side also needs expertise and experience to build something that will grow and actually provide a sustainable return. Doesn't need to be Hollywood.
Many of us are worn out and to some extent justifiably thinking 'someone else, anyone else', but we'd rather not repeat the problems we've had a lot of recent experience with.
I think given that they're American owners, running a club in Italy, with other business interests in different countries, it's highly likely that the next manager wouldn't be British.
So, first 6 games, and 4 points on the board. Pretty mediocre start.
If you take performances and match situations out of it (giving up leads etc) and just look at the results, what should we have expected in a reasonably solid start for us?
Brighton (H) - Expected 1 Point - Actual 0 Points
Spurs (A) - Expected 0 Points - Actual 0 Points
Bournemouth (H) - Expected 3 Points - Actual 0 Points
Villa (A) - Expected 0 Points - Actual 0 Points
Leicester (A) - Expected 1 Point - Actual 1 Point
Palace (H) - Expected 3 Points - Actual 3 Points
So Total - Expected 8 Points - Actual 4 Points.
Really goes without saying that the Bournemouth result was the main difference between our start being a fairly decent one and a mediocre one.
The other results are probably as one would expect, taking performances completely out of the equation.
It's a critical period for the club coming up in the next 6 games to try and put some distance between ourselves and the bottom, and get us into mid table.

Southampton (A)
West Ham (A)
Brentford (H)
Need to pick up as many wins as we can in amongst those games as our December fixtures are absolutely brutal.
