Source Romapress.net, don’t know how reliable it is, but…….
From England: Friedkin still interested in Everton takeover
ANDY MATTIOLI

The hypothesis of the Friedkin’s acquisition of Everton has not yet been entirely shelved.
According to Liverpoolecho.com and former Toffees CEO, Keith Wyness, Roma president Dan, could submit an offer for the majority of the English club, rekindling a deal that seemed to have stalled.
Wyness, speaking on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, revealed that there are three groups interested in buying Everton, but no one is yet close to closing the deal.
Friedkin, who has already invested £200 million in the club, could therefore play a decisive role in this race.
Farhad Moshiri, the current president of Everton, is in fact willing to sell the club.

It's repeating what Wyness was saying the other day, so as reliable and insightful as him, i.e. a complete guess.

Wyness just spouts his opinion as though it's more credible because of his connections to the club. Until the legal stuff with 777 gets sorted he won't make any moves in my considered and valueless opinion
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin Purchase Falls Through
Here we go:
https://www.theguardian.com/football/ar ... e-co-owner
The American billionaire John Textor has made a bid to become the majority owner of Everton, which could end the saga around the sale of the club.
The terms are the same as when Textor made an offer on 1 June in the previous round of bidding. If the offer is accepted, Textor will be the third party to enter a period of exclusivity with Blue Heaven Holdings, the company that owns Everton, in the past year. The Friedkin Group had agreed a deal to buy Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1% stake but withdrew after carrying out due diligence. The American investors were concerned about the legal uncertainties surrounding the £200m in loans that 777 Partners, the first to agree a deal, gave the club.
One complication regarding Textor’s offer is that he owns 45% of Crystal Palace and would be required to sell those shares to buy Everton, although he is confident his stake in the London club is much sought after. He was keen on Everton before the Friedkin Group was given exclusivity and has returned, with the Friedkin Group having not resurrected its interest.

Will be interesting to see if Friedkin is in attendance for the Roma game tomorrow.

Hmmmmm. Just not entirely sure what to really make of Textor.
Still erks me it never went through. TFG seemed like genuine business people.

Should be plenty of investors looking at Textor’s stake in Palace (last I heard there were 13 interested parties), so his stake there isn’t an issue. I think the only stumbling block is whether he wants to pay off the 200m debt to the fraudsters in full or like TFG wants to pay less than 100%.

Good interview with him here a while back.
Seems like he’d really like the way dyche plays going from that.
I have doubts over anyone coming in to buy us as I don’t trust any of these weird American billionaires and their multi club stuff but we need this resolved asap.

Yeah he seems alright.
I guess whoever buys us is going to be a billionaire, and there will be some accompanying ego and eccentricity, so that's unavoidable but similar to Friedkin, Textor seems a relatively reasonable option who at least has some knowledge of football. As long as it's not a Moshiri/Boehly type, I think the likes of Textor or Friedkin is probably the best we can hope for.

Couple of snippets of interest in this piece:
But any agreement brokered by Textor will have to clear significant hurdles before it comes to fruition. As well as Textor having to sell his 45 per cent stake in Crystal Palace to proceed, he also needs to address the Friedkin Group’s debt – which has a clause that states it must be repaid on change of ownership.
Moshiri is not short of interest in the club – indeed i understands there are other parties ready to make an offer for Everton apart from Textor – but the complexities around the club’s debts make any deal complex.
