Went to an FA Cup match today. Yep. 3rd August! Extra preliminary round. £1500 prize money. £1125 to the winner. £375 to help cover losers expenses.

Sporting Khalsa 3 Coventry United 0.

Was goalless at HT and then Ian Rowe got the half time team talk right and Khalsa turned on the style.

Freshly cooked Samosas at half time along with an ice cold Guinness zero.

£20 got me and my daughter in, bought us snacks and drinks at half time and a programme (she is showing early tendencies of my hoarding. She's not quite five. I was peak programme hoarder from the age of about 8 to about 13.

Must say I enjoyed it much more than meaningless pre season friendlies and while I always hope Khalsa win when we go along I don't feel an impending heart attack if they are clinging on to a one nil late on.

Chelsea are having a horror of a pre-season. Goals left right and centre.

The last time they had to make a panicked mid season sacking they got Lampard back to steady the ship...

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Boehly and co got them in a relegation scrap at some point

Buying half a team of £50m players each window they’re bound to stumble onto one or two who are actually decent and can keep them mid-table

Maresca can get to fuck the whinging cunt

The EPL needs to change the financial rules so clubs like Chelsea aren’t forced to sell their academy players

Orrrrrr, how about this Enzo, you’re club doesn’t spend almost £1.5bn on other clubs academy players??

Decent result for Rangers in the CL, 1-1 away to Dynamo Kyiv, gives them something to take back to Ibrox, sorry Hampden.
