Looks like a proper No.9.

Something we have lacked for a long time.

And that does rhyme.

Great to see him start the season so well. Hate his goal celebrations but love to see him score 🤣

Didn't mean to pass to Johnson, was definitely trying to play it to Ndaiye, but just like his second goal he maybe got what he deserved for making the right run / trying to thread a pass. Basically you make your own luck in this game.

Hope he goes on to have a massive season for us!

Need to be realistic.

He'll get 20 by Christmas, should be doubling that this season

I love his goal celebrations. His whip nae nae at the weekend was quality.

Let's see more personality from players and less robotic behaviour.

He could expose himself in public for all I care as long as he’s netting.

Wasn’t so much the goals as his all round play.

His control, quick passes, turns and direct running was something we didn’t see much of last year.

Whole new dimension to our play when we have a front man who you can rely on for a change.

Yeah his movement for all 3 goals was really good, proper centre forward runs to create space and put yourself in dangerous areas.

He's defo got something about him in terms of movement and finishing, but I think that he'll remain limited technically. He's quite clumsy and sometimes struggles with the basics, but I think he's got enough outside of that to succeed as a consistent goal scorer at the top level. Almost a bit like Pippo Inzaghi was really, although I'm obviously not suggesting he's going to be at that level.

Fair play to him for knuckling down and starting the season off like this.

Reminds me of DCL's start to a season under Carlo, a few years back. Reborn, proving people wrong and brimming with confidence.

His off ball running was absolutely fantastic and it got him all of the goals. Lovely in and out runs, give and goes, and then passing and immediately running into the box, not just admiring his pass.

A lot of us said that there feels like a difference in him from his pre season performances, and he is building himself into an undroppable position.

A complete performance from him tonight.
