Summer Transfer Window 2026
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I think we have a right back in the bag, just not announced yet.
You wouldn't wheel out your CEO to promise us it is about to be sorted if there was an element of doubt. He'd be setting himself up for a right fall.
Likely Munoz but Palace won't allow him to play against us. If he doesn't start on Saturday then there is your answer.

Farhad Moshiri: "We need a striker. We'll get one."
(how did we survive that absolute nutter)

Oh, is that’s why you always react when people mention Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton being light years ahead of us in scouting- because who were they in the 80’s!4evablu wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 5:30 pm Once again point proven….oddly you probably don’t remember when we constantly broke British transfer records…oddly you don’t remember the 80’s…..
Oddly…….it’s these two reasons fans of my age support our great club through thick and thin…good and bad….instead of constantly moaning about everything Everton…

That was my confusion at the time with the explosive reaction to the "happily dissatisfied" quote, taken out of context and timing.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 5:13 pm That's hilarious. People have spent pages dissecting what 70% could possibly mean, with numerous theories, and it turns out he was making a general statement about the transfer window.
Couldn't understand what the fume was all about.
And he specifically didn't back down from what he said either, in the Toffee TV interview, twice he said he was "disappointed in how those words landed" and in effect were taken out of context, and "what I was perceived to say about [the poor league finish]".
Thought it was pretty obvious that they related to the general direction of the club, and progress off the pitch, sale, restructure, and a squad with only a dozen players, that whilst not everything came off, that much did, and to top it off closer to Europe than the last 3 or so years fighting relegation.
Anyone going off on that clearly didn't think through why a CEO would be saying that if that [no ambition to succeed] was the intended message, tantamount to hanging himself in that job. Surely he's a bit more self aware than that.
Pitchforks at dawn.

It'll never work.

A bit of my frustration is to do with the so called new dawn of the new owners new stadium new era but here we are scratching around at the end of the window for scraps again it would be lovely for once to sign players before the start of the season and have everyone ready to go

Not on their own and not if we are only adding to areas we have some cover already.
