Pre-season (Match Threads Here)
Re: Pre-season (Match Threads Here)
28 days until the start of the season. No RB being linked really apart from vague links.
O'Brien and Mykolenko pretty much guaranteed to start the season at fullback. Decent chance they're there for the season. Pretty much guaranteed Mykolenko will be there all season.

Another season where we'll have no one up front to score. Maybe if we change our name to UK Roma the Friedkins might actually be bothered about the club.

Re: Pre-season (Match Threads Here)
Last season, early on there was the feel good of the new stadium.
This season it'll be the same as last season out of both cups early on, a manager who lets be honest isn't going to care that much as he leaves at the end of the campaign and likewise with one or two players, maybe the likes of Ndiaye and Garner giving one more season before they depart.
It's all just very flat and depressing.

Woeful that mate.
McNeil in the 10.
Rohl RB.
Sure it’s all been said all day long like but yeah, embarrassing imo.

It is embarrassing and pathetic
Just get rid of the club. An absolute failure with loser mentality etched into the soul.

Re: Pre-season (Match Threads Here)
Nothing ever changes. Its the same boring football, the same unambitious club. The same ridiculous decisions. Its just misery
If we were just bland it would be a vast improvement. Bland and inept

Re: Pre-season (Match Threads Here)
These game are genuinely just minutes in the legs at this point.
Palace lost 3-0 to Bromley today.
Don’t know why anyone bothers tries taking anything from them.

That was a hard watch for anyone! yes its about minutes, but you could see the same thing from today, to the last games of the last season.
Hopefully they will improve in the next game... Hopefully

Re: Pre-season (Match Threads Here)
Just to back up @TheRam , some of the friendly results yesterday -
Gateshead 1-1 Newcastle (Gateshead are in the 5th tier of English football)
Bromley 3-0 Palace
QPR 3-2 Fiorentina
These games don't mean a thing, and don't tell us a thing.
Can you imagine the meldown in our fanbase if we drew with a 5th tier team, or lost 3-0 to Bromley yesterday? It would be biblical.
It's literally about getting some minutes in people's legs, and hopefully getting through it without any serious injuries.
The last couple of friendlies against strong sides, just before the season starts are a bit different. Granted. But these early games are glorified training sessions.
People need to calm the fuck down.

No one’s bothered about the result yesterday it’s the total lack of movement into a poor squad that’s pissing people off

The club is stale and predictable from top to bottom. We know how the campaign will play out come May 2027Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2026 4:36 am Just to back up @TheRam , some of the friendly results yesterday -

Re: Pre-season (Match Threads Here)
Palace barely had a first team player in either of the teams (different 1st half and 2nd half) they fielded against Bromley.
They also might actually be a bit crap given they're selling their best players regularly and have a new manager.
Pre-season misery isn't down to the results anyway, it's that we are going nowhere with the same old faces and the same rubbish football.
