That clip had no context... Firstly you couldn't tell what he was saying, and secondly it could have been from any part of the match. Unless someone has seen a more lengthy version that shows he was saying straight after the goal?

I've seen one clip of Bellingham where it looks vaguely like he says it but it cuts back to the studio before he's finished moving his mouth, and it's hard to see what part of the game that was from.

That clip was posted here. If you have a clearer one that shows it was immediately after the goal then post it so I have a better understanding, because that's the only one I've seen.

Yeah and when I'm shown one clip of something with little context I'm not going to just believe it's as someone says... We live in a world of stuff being deliberately clipped and used without context or to suggest something that isn't true.

I'm not saying it wasn't said, I'm not saying it wasn't true. My point was one clip was shared on here and all I asked was that if there was something more definitive I'd happily see it, otherwise I'll question it's validity.

Of course there's two responses to that, one is engage and show the full clip, or at least explain there's many around that show it to be true.

The other is derision and points scoring for epic bantz.

TBH I don't think it's worth making too much of anything a player says in the heat of the moment just after they've conceded a goal, particularly a tired one near the end of a big game. It's not like he said it in a presser is it?

Have a look at a forum on here after Everton concede - we call players all sorts when emotions are running high. Then we're a lot more considered later. Why would players be any
different?

Id say he 99% says - it's the middle of the goal - whilst watching the replay on the screen and throwing his hands in the air.

Yes, it is the middle of the goal and it's a late equaliser in the semi final of the WC

He isn't thinking about nuance, the closing down, the swerve in the new balls etc. it's heat of the moment disappointment and frustration.

It's fine, it's not a big deal whatsoever, it doesn't fucking matter if he had called Pickford a dinosaur.... Its literally ten seconds after conceding a massive goal. Knowing they don't have the players on the pitch to get a goal themselves and it was the end.

We don't need to scientifically analyse this. Or argue about when he fucking said it or what he said.

I agree with Andy re this….you could argue he’s saying it to the whole defence and not Pickford….as in its in the middle of the goal he’s unmarked and no one close to him to prevent the shot in the first place…..??
People will spin things to suit a point….even the “experts”….when you watch a full replay of the goal from it being passed into him you can actual see Pickford moving to get a view of the ball….theres 9 players in the box 6 of which are right in front of Pickford and within close down distance as the ball travels to him yet none of them tried to close the ball or the man down until Bellingham made an effort…
