Nearly 24 hours on, still bamboozled, baffled and bewildered by TT, like he had lost belief in his players - bizarre

I have not felt like this about England since I was a 9 year old in 1970 after the quarter final defeat against West Germany

Blew it then, blew it yesterday

The top reason to watch the third place playoff is that Mbappe might get the golden boot (although he won’t because Messi would still have one game to play)

Said before he started didn’t rate him didn’t want him….he had no CV to even get him an interview…yet the fa old farts club thought he was the messiah….got shouted down on many occasions over my opinion of him….
For me the whole finals from an England perspective was a shambles…got out of jail v Mexico and it bought him some cudos….never had a settled side for the whole campaign….didnt know his best players or side to start with….made some outlandish player selections…and finals squad selections…...sadly the chickens have come home to roost….
Get rid now before we start preparations for the next campaign….

I dont know how he survives this. Hes said its in the players DNA and no structure in the world could have saved us against Argentina. Hes taken zero blame and put it all on the players. Dont imagine theyll want to play for him anymore and hes already alienated plenty with some of his selections

Yeah, the day after and it kinda felt worse. Some combo of sad and mad with how it went.

I think it'd be easier to blame a mentality if it weren't for the subs.

Even if the players were retreating after the goal, I don't know if they were, but the subs weighed us down so we could never get out. You see a freeze frame of the two goals and it's absurd how we're lining up. So many players were barely out of the 6 yard area. There wasn't even anyone at the top of the box we were that deep. It started with the Konsa sub and just got worse from there. Why not put on Saka on the right? It's not like he's not plenty defensive too these days but at least he might run up the line too or buy a foul.

We also just let Messi receive the ball it felt like in acres of space because even with so many defenders most of them were camped in the 18 yard box so he had all day to pick a cross out before anyone closed him down.

I didn't even get to fully enjoy Gordon's goal as I was watching it on a 30 second delay on iplayer, and could hear the neighbours cheering FFS.

Same. I was having a piss when I heard everyone cheering and I thought “There can’t be that many Argentinians in the village…”
