I think he’s far too good for us to have a chance of signing him myself.

He will go to a better team than us.

Spence is a no from me. Think it's a bit mad the way his stock has risen given he was a big part of a team that finished 17th last season.

Oh do I yearn for a day I see an attacking fullback at Everton again.

I think Spence is better than what I'd expected and by some distance. He's actually a good player and can cover LB too. I'd be very much in to this, especially as he's rapid too.

I follow a page on Facebook called Soccer Guy who does match reports in a satirical over the top American way, he calls him DJ Ed Spence and I can't get the name out my head whenever I see him mentioned now. :)

Better than what we have, mobile and hard working, but watching him sulk off the pitch and ignore Frank last year has put me off a bit.

That’s my concern too.

I think we have a group that largely keeps their heads up even when things aren’t going well, they’re not getting on the pitch, they don’t agree with the manager’s decisions, etc. I don’t want us to spoil that.

It’s possible that the influence of the almost-all-dickheads Spurs locker room got to him but somewhat concerning nonetheless.

The flip side is that Moyes isn’t known to make sizable investments in questionable personalities.

He’d relax his standards for cheap punts when we had no money but that’s about it.

I’m sure Moyes will have sounded out Pickford about him.

Yeah that's the part that makes me confident he's not a bad egg. If probably be against signing him for that Frank video we're it not for Moyes being the one to ok the deal or not.

The bar is so low that yeah, he would be an improvement. Isn't exactly bad going forward but thought he was horrendous against DR Congo. Zero attempts to try and make a tackle, looked all over the place in that regard.

Just don't fancy him at all, reckon he's bobbins.

He wasn't alone in having a bad game though, I thought the entire defence struggled, even the two CBs looked pants and I'd take both of them in a heart beat.

He's renowned for being an excellent one Vs one defender, so that'll be a massive tick for Moyes.

He's also really quick, and given we lack pace that'd be a huge boost.

By all accounts he's a bit Wan Bissaka going forward, but that'd still be light years ahead of JOB's attacking contributions.

He's also only 25 (almost 26), so fits our model of buying players who aren't post peak, and we should get many years out of him.

As long as the fee is no more than £25m and wages are sensible then I think this is going to be quite the major upgrade. Not Doue levels but given we don't have £40m to spend, and it's likely he'd have far better offers so we have to be realistic in who we can buy.

He also won't need time to adapt to the league, and he can cover LB comfortably so there's another 2 positives.

The fact he can cover LB is also a negative as we haven't been linked with a new one and you'd think Moyes will probably be content with Myko and Spence as his options there.
