Unreal turn from Olmo, great piece of defending too.

Football at its best.

Austria not even in this right now.

They had to land at least one big punch early.

A high energy style with lots of time spent chasing the ball is not sustainable.

Spain very much looking like the growing into the tournament contenders.

Eleven very intelligent, very good technicians.

I hope they keep attacking like they did in Euros.

The World Cup winning team would just take the air out of the ball here and play keep away for 50-60 minutes.

Not slighting their ability, it’s near impossible to control the ball that well with a lead, but it was dull as fuck to watch.

You can see the gulf in class anytime Austria get into a dangerous position in the final third.

I appreciate them charging around the pitch like madmen and keeping games interesting. They’re just not good enough to go deep into a tournament.

I still regret that Rangnick didn’t get the job after Moyes. His style could’ve traced an entirely different trajectory for the club.

Austria are going to have to dust off Arnautovic soon.

Their other attackers have struggled with basic control in the handful of decent opportunities they’ve had.

The lump up top is pointless, zero pace or even movement
