Obviously a talent and a good price but I feel there are higher priorities for us - depends how much budget we have this year

Re: Hayden Hackney
I think for the rumoured £10-15m fee, it's an excellent signing tbh. Great value, with the potential for his value to increase significantly.

Re: Hayden Hackney
Yeah, at 10 mil it would seem a no brainer. Given recent Championship prices though, you'd doubt they'd sell for that.
15 mil maybe with a lot of reasonable add ons?

Re: Hayden Hackney
He’s worth £20m at least.
It’s worth trying to pay less due to his contract situation but I also don’t mind paying full asking if that’s it.
If you get a chance to sign a young English baller for less than market value, it’s generally worth doing unless it’s a blatant stylistic mismatch. Same philosophy as Delap last summer.

Given the talk about the fee being so low wonder if there’s a hefty sell on clause.
If they truly rate him then seems like the best way to get money even after running his contract down

Says £10-15m in Paddy Boyland's article, and he's usually one of the most clued-up re: Everton.

I’m just going off what TalkSPORT we’re reporting. Probably will be £10 leading up to £20mBluedylan1 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2026 5:42 pm Says £10-15m in Paddy Boyland's article, and he's usually one of the most clued-up re: Everton.
Re: Hayden Hackney
Do we have any idea on timescale?
Like are we expecting this to be sorted this week for example
