New York and New Jersey attorney generals are both investigating FIFA about ticket prices.
I’ll sit In anticipation for absolutely nothing to happen.

Billy Gilmour out of the World Cup, picked up a knee injury against Curacao today.
Re: World Cup 2026
So hard to get excited about this. I normally watch as much as I can, but with the 48 teams making the group stages largely uncompetitive, late kicks and the fact that it's mostly in that joke of a country at the moment, I've picked out 5-6 games that interest me in the first 2-3 weeks and that includes England and Scotland.
I will try and watch the Mexico and Canada games. But I will be actively avoiding anything that involves the USA, including build up half time and post match to any game hosted in the USA. Usually I look forward to embracing the host nations culture, but the last 2 world cups and the next 2 world cups, I've got absolutely zero interest in the sports washing and political priorities.

I'm usually excited for a major tournament, but I honestly keep forgetting this is even happening.Robioto wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2026 1:01 pm So hard to get excited about this. Re: World Cup 2026
Brazil Vs Morocco is a perfect example if a game id totally watch, but it's on at 11pm.
Am I going to stay up till 1am to watch it?
Nope!
Also means my 11 year old won't be able to watch the vast majority of games, and that's really crap for him, and me because we'd watch them together otherwise.

Re: World Cup 2026
Will still end up watching most of the 5/8 kick offs, record any of the better night time games to watch the day after
Re: World Cup 2026
Saw the ratings in the Edinburgh evening News, lots of threes and fours but Patto got a five, also comment that he ran the wing and made an excellent cross, people bewildered why he has sat on the bench all year for us whilst forcing JOB out of position. Hope he has a good World Cup, offers come in for him and Moyes looks a fool for not seeing it.

Part of WC excitement as a kid used to be being allowed to stay up to watch mad kick off times.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2026 2:06 pm Brazil Vs Morocco is a perfect example if a game id totally watch, but it's on at 11pm.

Or getting to school and hour or two early cos they were putting the game on for breakfast clubs.
Good memories of being with my dad watching proper late at night in my pjs and a milk.
Re: World Cup 2026
Yeah he'll be allowed to stay up to watch some, but it'll be the big matches and not random teams. Need to balance watching matches together and him not having endless late nights, as he's a right pain in the arse when he's tiredAudrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2026 5:34 pm Part of WC excitement as a kid used to be being allowed to stay up to watch mad kick off times.

Re: World Cup 2026
Would he/you watch every single game if it was in Europe?
Prob not so it's not really an issue is it? Haha
The kick off times is the least of our problems for this WC.
Mad kick offs is just part of it being a world cup and not catered to GMT!!
Re: World Cup 2026
Probably would watch a fair bit more tbh.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2026 6:19 pm Would he/you watch every single game if it was in Europe?

Re: World Cup 2026
100% this. I’m lucky enough to have been 9 for Mexico 1970. It was the most exotic thing imaginable. Live and in colour, shimmering in the heat, Brazil and that Peru kit. Stuff of dreamsAudrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun May 31, 2026 5:34 pm Part of WC excitement as a kid used to be being allowed to stay up to watch mad kick off times.

Sadly, I couldn’t tell you when this one even starts. It’s mad, nearly 4 weeks until you get to the last 16. I’ll probably take an interest when it gets to the knock-out stages once we get back from holiday on Islay.
