Re: Tyrique George
Probably be £20m with add ons I imagine, although Alonso might have different plans, he’d take Garnachos (sp?) spot surely.

Re: Tyrique George
Living in the Tiranic with no mates and getting minimal minutes for a shite team - the lads probably gone into hiding.
Re: Tyrique George
Wouldn't say no to it.
Seems to make stuff happen when he comes on.
Just can't see him getting adequate minutes under Moyes though, especially if we re-sign Grealish

Re: Tyrique George
£20m for a player like this seems good to me.
Doesn’t have to set the world alight, to be worth it.
Always makes an impact when he plays.
We signed McNeil for around the same price four years ago.

Re: Tyrique George
Whether we trigger the fee or not he has to want to come back here again and judging by how much game time he had in his spell it’s not a given he’d be up for it.

Re: Tyrique George
We only got to see a little but I have basically no questions about his ability.
Main question is whether Moyes is the right manager for him, which is an annoying main question to have.

Re: Tyrique George
Im not convinced that Moyes is the reason he hasn’t had more game time but would definitely pay the rumoured 22m. Talented lad just needs time.

Re: Tyrique George
If you are Alonso there's no chance he lets him walk out the door for £20m while they have a host of other wide players who are of a similar standard if not worse.
Gittens was highly thought of at City, a mate if mine is a scout for them and they thought he would go on to do big things and a lot of staff were shocked he left so early. He looked like he was on the way to building a decent career for himself at Dortmund until Chelsea's riches came to town.
If we are going down the loan route again I would take Gittens here for a season and give him some game time to see if he can recapture his Dortmund form.

Re: Tyrique George
It was reported the buy clause was well in excess of £20m, so any deal would likely need to be negotiated.
As for Alonso maybe not wanting to sell him, I doubt he'd have any say. They're in a massive hole financially and home grown players count in PSR / SCR much more favourably than moving on their expensive flops.

Tyrique George
From Joe Thomas
"David Moyes likes Tyrique George and he impressed at Finch Farm, where he made a positive impression following his arrival in January. Despite the appointment of Xabi Alonso, any thoughts he has on the matter are essentially redundant as Everton have the chance to trigger the option to buy contained in his loan deal.
"Everton do want to add a winger this summer and George is a talented player who is already integrated at the club and who performed well in patches towards the end of the campaign. Better finishing could have seen him pick up assists at West Ham, Crystal Palace and against Sunderland and had the chances he created been taken, we could well be talking about how he led the late charge into Europe.
"My understanding on George is that Everton are open to a deal but would like to negotiate the terms of making it permanent in the hope of getting a more favourable package. That relies on Chelsea being willing to accept the possibility of selling him for less than the option and also nullifies the protection given by the option.
"I wouldn’t be surprised if Liam Delap’s situation also becomes a factor in this equation. Moyes still likes Delap and would like to add a striker if an improvement is available on reasonable terms. Everton have a good relationship with Chelsea and while the club will want to raise funds after missing out on Europe, Everton trying to negotiate a loan for either is not out of the question - but they could only get one on those terms."

Re: Tyrique George
How much less do the really think we can get him for and is it worth having this drag on and potentially losing a player we rate?
They did they all last summer and it turned into a mess.
