David Moyes
Re: David Moyes
2 or more goals conceded a game and he sticks with the same defence. Poor management.
Re: David Moyes
If the Friedkins are as ruthless as they appear to be it wouldn't actually surprise me if they shit canned him.
This is a Moyes version that has been around the block and he hasn't learned or changed.
Doesn't have it in him to take us further forward.
Will always be a risk averse manager.
Thanks for what he has done but let's grow some serious swingers.
We can and should be doing better.
He was a good stabiliser for an uptick from Dyche but he's showing his level.
Moyes out for me.

Re: David Moyes
As shit as the past month or so has been I’d still stick with Moyes next season.
But my goodness let’s get the summer recruitment right, surely the team or committee or whatever you want to call it are better placed now and we don’t end up signing £30m teenagers that don’t even come off the bench.

Re: David Moyes
A large part of me still thinks that given a good summer window he can kick us on, and I think it's important to remember where we were when he came in. He's taken us forward this year even if the past month has been brutally bad.
Even with the bad run we're it not for VAR we'd have 5 more points, and I think that needs to be factored in too.
However saying all that, if we can get Ireola in then we absolutely should.

Re: David Moyes
I think they stick with him. However, we've absolutely stunk the place out with our end to the season. Gone from mild CL contention going into the derby to finishing bottom half.
Given what they did at Roma, I wonder if the owners contemplate making a change?
Probably not and I'm just pissed at this result.
How much easier would our job have been at recruiting if we'd ended the season on a high. Changes the narrative around the club.

Re: David Moyes
Out. Hes done an okay job. Thats it was very good last season and poor in comparison this. He gets a pass somewhat if he didnt make the signings. Though if he didnt make the signings he probably has to go because he doesnt allign with the people that did
Re: David Moyes
Also why did he bring back Harrison to not play him.
He was developing brilliantly at Preston, another clanger from Mr Moyes.
I think a more modern manager gets more out of Aznou and Dibling too.
He reverts too much to type for me and trusts too many of his "Soldiers".

Re: David Moyes
I don't know if players have looked shite recently because we've not rotated enough, or the players have just been shite.
It feels to a degree we have stagnated because we have often just played the regulars no matter their form. Tim, Rohl, George, Dibling, Aznou etc barely featured across the season. You can't tell me that Dibling couldn't have done what Ndiaye or KDH did that game though.

Re: David Moyes
I doubt there's much appetite to remove him and going by Kinnear's comments that's the case. He'll get next season then hopefully we move on to someone else.
Re: David Moyes
We must be the easiest team to play against every week.
They know we haven't tried to solve the right back issue within the squad all season so we'll pick a 6'5" centre half so we have nothing going forward.
They know we'll more than likely play two slow old centre halves meaning any balls over or through will cause us all sorts of problems.
They know the whole team, barring maybe one change which will be like for like, so they know how we set up.
And they know we won't make a sub until 70 mins and it will in all likelihood just be one striker for the other.
And we pay top dollar for this kind of tactical knowhow.

Re: David Moyes
Think it's fair to give him next season to get us into Europe, any less and we move on.

I just completely disagree. We got 48pts last season despite dyche trying to relegate us til Christmas. I just dont see how 49pts this season is taking us forwards.
Our last 3 seasons have been 48 (without the deduction) 48 and now 49. I mean if thats progress we might get 60pts before weve all died of old age
Re: David Moyes
First time I've started wobbling on Moyes for next season. The finish to the season has been abysmal.
Re: David Moyes
He had an open goal this season with everyone around us stumbling every week and he still couldn't do it.
What makes you think he can make that step? Nothing in his career so far indicates he can.
