Its easy to say West Ham isn't it.
In my head I had Wolves beating them which has changed things for me.
They have Villa away next mind which is tough but I wouldn't put it past them to win all 3 of Leeds, Chelsea and then us.
Chelsea might be different depending on who's in charge by the time they play them but this particular current form Chelsea side they are deffo beating.
A win changes the mood and they will be lifted by that today, despite the late West Ham goal.
Re: The fall of Spurs
Not a chance they’re winning three games in a row.
I think today is an absolute killer for them.
They’ve finally won a game and didnt make any gain.
They would have looked at this week as the week to close the gap.
Another gameweek down without improving their position.

West Ham are on a roll now and have picked up something like 22 points since January. They will have their tails up. Spurs cannot afford anything other than wins really. A draw next week and a West Ham win and they are done

Re: The fall of Spurs
spurs must be so disappointed when they at last win their first game this year - kinel and they dont improve in the league at all

There's no chance they are winning all of the games they got left.Cozzie wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 8:56 pm Its easy to say West Ham isn't it.

In fact i'll say they won't win any of them
Yes it would have been a lift for them to finally win a game after 4 months, but they thought they were coming out of the relegation zone only to find out they're not and nothing has changed.
With 12 points still to play for of course they have a chance to get out of it, however they are not playing well while west ham are in decent nick.
They also picked up another 2 injuries yesterday as well.
I honestly think it will be over for them before we go there for the last game

Re: The fall of Spurs
This thread is on tiniest bit of a knife edge, it's either going to age like the "Man Utd - relegation" thread and they survive, have money to spend with a decent manager and bounce back to the European places or could be an interesting delve into what a club like them do in the Championship.
Right now, you'd lean to the former boring scenario given we actively have to beat them not just draw in our current magnificent form, and West Ham have to beat Leeds.
Feels like everything would have to go against them still for them to go down.

I think it’s really hard to recover from the last two seasons of finishing 17th if they do stay up.
I don’t see them doing what United did and becoming a top five team again straight away.
They don’t have the players for that. Their squad is largely awful.

Re: The fall of Spurs
I think they already look better under De Zerbi and xGA wise they're right at the top under him.
Probably be going for a European place next season if they stay up.

Re: The fall of Spurs
Maybe not top 5, but look at their historical finishes over the last 20 years. This year and last clearly the aberration, they have a better coach already than last two (what were they thinking with Tudor, just insane decision) if they sign a few decent players in key positions (clearly they have the finances too to do that) then chances are they'll be top 8+ in pretty short order I'd imagine.
Teams with strong finances will eventually bubble to the top end of the league.
