Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
Yeah, really short sighted choice to keep him around.
He really could've given those minutes to anyone else, Rohl could've done the same job, maybe even Dibling given the position he was asked to play.

Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
Unless there’s been a falling out after his initial run of games, he’s not happy maybe at lack of game time which he would have had at Preston. Just strange.

Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
Ah well, hopefully we get him a decent loan for next season and leave him there, I can't see him suddenly becoming a starter under Moyes next season.
Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
The most recent Blue Room pod said that Harrison Armstrong is rumoured to have turned down a new contract, but not seen it mentioned anywhere else? (Admittedly not on any social media these days).

Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
Probably doesn’t fancy a career as 3rd choice right winger and waiting to see if Moyes fucks off
Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
18 months ago he wasn’t really in the first team picture
And thanks for moving mods, couldn’t find a HA thread
Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
How has he looked in preseason so far?
Also what position has he been playing in CM, the holding player or as an 8?
Realistic option instead of Garner as the 6 for the first couple of games?

Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
It looked more like Hackney was taking the ball of the centre backs last night, so presume he's more likely to be the 6 in Garner's absence at the moment. And then we lost quite a bit of control with the ball when Hackney went off and was replaced with Tim.
Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
Thanks mate, will be interesting to see if Armstrong continues to get minutes over pre-season in CM, but from what you said it looks like Hackney is out current starting DM unless we buy someone with the Ndaiye money.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2026 9:58 am It looked more like Hackney was taking the ball of the centre backs last night, so presume he's more likely to be the 6 in Garner's absence at the moment. Thought Tim was awful in the second half. Did some good stuff as he usually does but with that comes a few clangers.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2026 9:58 am It looked more like Hackney was taking the ball of the centre backs last night, so presume he's more likely to be the 6 in Garner's absence at the moment.
