They’ve all said they want to go to aintree with the baby.

I could not have been less enthused by that if I tried.

She said it’s fine, I can stay at home if I want and watch the footie.

Do I just put up with the shite that’s to come when she’s home, or just grin and bear it?

Is Fulham away really worth it?

Lads?
One is the love of your life and the other one is your missus, easy choice.

If she said you can stay home and watch the game then why do you assume she's lying??

Yeah, you never want to hear “it’s fine”.

Whole world of pain later.

Go to Aintree, secretly keep refreshing nsno in the toilets (although they’ll all assume you have a beak problem), and try not to get too outwardly annoyed at our shit posts or Everton’s inability to win a football match.

I prioritise Everton first when it comes to inlaws. They ask my wife to check with me if 'his football' is on. If it clashes they re-arrange dates where possible.

I stood firm from the outset. Best way.

It’s a complex one, given how shite we are usually at craven cottage. I’d be tempted still to watch the football and just resign yourself to the inevitable moaning after. Mind you, I’m divorced so hardly a great track record when it comes to relationship advice but there you go

It's very weird to be speaking about your partner's this way.

But I'm the only woman on here so I'll just let yous all chat about it like we are monsters who give mixed signals and make your lives hell :)

Can't beat a sweeping generalisation. We're all born of a woman though

I tend to ask myself, if it was my parents coming down and my missus wanted to do xyz... would she change her plans, or give me a reason why it's okay for her not to be there... draw your line 🤭🤭
