Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
I'd say why after that performance? Unless he's going to play regularly...and I'd seriously doubt that...he should stay at Preston.
Maybe Moyes reconsiders now.

Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
Bobble not really saying anything that Moyes and Heckingbottom have both said over the last week or so, the last part he can take a punt on as it's 50/50 anyway.

Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
Alcaraz was out injured, no details on that as yet...so maybe. I think even Moyes was surprised how the Forest game went though from his post match comments. So maybe it was murmurings before the game expecting this makeshift line up to be worse? I guess we'll see.
Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
Seems we can't afford a decent centre mid in January, so all that cash on a right back then.
Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
According to Paddy Boyland he can come back here and then go back to Preston just before the window shuts.i guess you can't play for more than 2 different teams in a season, but there's no rules on going back somewhere you've already been.
So recall for a few weeks as cover and then send him back at 11:59pm on deadline day.

Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
Said it repeatedly but he's a top player in the making and is ready for this level. Training with PL players and regularly coming on as a sub for 6 months will probably do better for him than playing in the championship for 6 months. He's too good for that level already.
He's not a wet behind the ears kid like Gordon or Barkley who went to the championship to work on their games and get used to playing with grown men and in front of crowds. He's ready.

I think that's the disappointing reality.777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 10:49 pm We cant not recall him given how short of numbers we are.
Would be good for consistency and long term to keep him in one place rather than chopping and changing.
He's an exciting prospect that needs a season of games uninterupted, but we don't have that luxury.
Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
If the plan is to borrow him until late January and then send him back when injuries clear and Gana returns, I can’t hate on it.
Our bench tonight was full of academy players who are simply next man up and who Moyes has zero intention of playing. Makes sense to get an actual option in for a few matches until the squad is in better shape.
I do feel for PNE though as they’re having a fairly good season.

Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
That would make more sense. It might suggest the Alcaraz injury is bad enough that it'll keep him out for a while.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 10:43 pm According to Paddy Boyland he can come back here and then go back to Preston just before the window shuts.i guess you can't play for more than 2 different teams in a season, but there's no rules on going back somewhere you've already been.

It would also suggest we're not planning on bringing any other midfielders in.
Re: Future Captain Harrison Armstrong
I don’t think it’s the worst thing if he comes back and plays a squad player role.
Feel like he’s probably had his fill at championship football.
When I’ve seen him play he’s so obviously above that level it’s hard to see what else he has to prove.
Would have been a good experience for him to be part of a promotion push and possible play offs though.
