Okay.
David Moyes
Re: David Moyes
It's his default position unfortunately.Shogun wrote: ↑Sat Nov 29, 2025 10:10 pm They were below us in the league. They've just been bummed in their last away game against Brentford. They'd scored 3 league goals away from home prior to tonight and not won any of them including the likes of Brentford, West Ham and Leeds.
Losing is fine, actually saying that quote after a home match as if we're playing prime Man City away is shocking.
If that's his attitude then may as well write off a good 20 matches this season. Would hate to be a footballer playing under that mentality.
Re: David Moyes
He’s right.
If both teams played at 100% it would have been the same result.
Their midfield and defence is light years ahead of ours.
Tim for Gana made a huge difference in the worst way for us and I don’t think there’s anything else moyes could have done?
Keane and tarkowski are getting away with all kinds imo.
It’s a bottom of the league partnership. Partner that with mykolenko and obrien at full back and it’s a horror show.
We get by the odd game here and there when teams have an off day.
The squad is a mess. We didn’t buy enough defenders and midfielders and we’re going to pay the price unfortunately.
It’s very much a work in progress and whilst we’re well away from danger we just have to put up with it.

Re: David Moyes
Saw this and wasn't even sure if it was real. What a mad embarrassing thing to say. They are below us in the league and we were at home. They are better than us but not to the level where we have no chance unless they play shit. I normally defend his negativity as its often reality to a point but this is pathetic. Fed up with him. He might be what we need right now but he adds to some of the misery

They are better than us but they'd have to have an off day and we'd have to play really well to get a draw? Absolutely not. Ridiculous comment. The odds had it at almost even. Hes talking as if we were playing prime Barcelona
That shit is embarrassing

Re: David Moyes
He's not right at all. So much for a change in attitude after the Utd game, that's back to knives to a gunfight Moyes. They're now on the same points as us, hadn't won away all season, we helped them out massively and he's taking like we've just faced peak Pep and Man City.

Re: David Moyes
If we had an actual striker converting our chances we'd be top 8 at the moment. Goals win games. FACT

Re: David Moyes
What he said was so out of line with reality (to me) I genuinely had to come on here to see if it were a parody. Hes a good manager but I also think his negativity infects the club. I want him gone as soon as its sensible to move him on. The clubs mentality is never going to change with him in charge. Its how you expect the burnley manager to talk about going away to city, Liverpool or arsenal. Not an Everton home game against a struggling Newcastle team with a terrible away record.
The real truth is Newcastle weren't good and to some extent we gave away all 4 goals. He should have led with that. What he said was pathetic

Re: David Moyes
This is a club that we beat away in the final game of last season in May. I wonder what has changed in the past 6 months for David Moyes.

Re: David Moyes
Granted, he's not expressed it very well but if you look at the two starting elevens yesterday and were picking a combined team, how many Everton outfield players would you want in that combined side realistically?
*I'd have Pickford eleven times out of ten ahead of Ramsdale but he had a bit of a shocker yesterday too.

In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.
Re: David Moyes
It’s like he tries really hard to be positive but he just can’t help himself and the real Moyes comes out when he’s feeling emotional, or pissed off or got up the wrong side of bed. He’ll never change.

Re: David Moyes
Agree with that but that's not remotely what he said. He said they'd have to have an off day and we'd have to play really well to have a chance of a result. The facts dont bare that out at all. Even beyond that you then have to go back to the last transfer window and ask how much responsibility he has for that mess.CannockPricey wrote: ↑Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:11 am Granted, he's not expressed it very well but if you look at the two starting elevens yesterday and were picking a combined team, how many Everton outfield players would you want in that combined side realistically?
