Liverpool being bellends
Re: Liverpool being bellends
This level of cry-arsing is why they get such favouritism from referees. It's not just them either, this goes for a couple of other clubs like Man United or Arsenal.
As soon as anything goes against them, even if it's the correct decision, it's wall-to-wall coverage and opinions from every pundit going. It's a massive faff for referees to give any major decisions against them.
We had 3 offside goals on the weekend. One of which was where Barry 'challenged' the defender from an offside position after being pushed into that offside position by the Fulham defender in the first place. Where's the wall-to-wall coverage for that one?
Imagine if we'd have scored that goal in the Anfield derby last season and won 1-0? The one where Tarkowski intercepted the ball because it was going through to an offside Diaz but apparently that wasn't interfering with play and everyone just accepted it.
They'll never let you forget about the Tottenham offside which was a genuine mistake. What about the DCL one in the cup against Palace away where the ref didn't give a red card, VAR told him to give a red card, and then they rescinded the red card after the match? How often do you hear about that? How often do you hear about the Palace-Brighton match where they disallowed Estupinan's goal because they literally drew the line from the wrong player? Never. Because only certain clubs are given the platform to fume and influence future decisions.
I hate them. They're horrible and they know exactly what they're doing.

All clubs are at it.
Sunderland did it last week with the Keane one.
It’s the media all this. Needing to constantly fill the news cycle.
It starts with neville going completely over the top, then Carragher gets involved, then it’s on ref watch, the overlap, etc…

I'm so glad footy is now about who's got the best lawyers, accountants and media manipulators.
Re: Liverpool being bellends
[Michael Reid] Alexander Isak is the first player to lose each of his first 4 top-flight league starts for Liverpool since Percy Saul in October 1906.
Better NOT call Saul then.
Even though I do eventually think he will come good for them its still funny.
Doesn't look arsed either.

If your team is losing 3-0 at home to a Dyche team, you know that you are beyond crisis point

Re: Liverpool being bellends
I watched a few videos of reactions from that bald watch along guy as it's normally pretty entertaining watching his meltdown. But to my annoyance, he was just dejected and actually analysed the game pretty well. If that's anything to go by, the fans have definitely given up hope... and long may it continue
My prediction is that they beat PSV in midweek and fail to beat West Ham next weekend - then they might pull the trigger on Slot.

Martinez on Sky, saying the Liverpool players don't look happy, just about to start criticising Van Dijk and Salah but then Dave Jones throws in the Jota excuse, they're going to drag that grief line out all season.
Re: Liverpool being bellends
Interesting comment from Carragher about Salah, says he's very quite at the moment, although you only ever hear from him when he wants a new contract.

Yep we know it's scripted to what they are going to discuss but
Jones definitely jumps in with the Jota comment, Can't stand Carragher but he tells it how he see it at Liverpool, and he's right .
Even the show on Sky before MNF showing the league graphic with them in 11th , Clinton Morrison and the presenter jumped on the Jota death again.

Re: Liverpool being bellends
you all know how much i fucking hate Liverpool. I despise every one of them and the fans are hideous.
I dont want to ever give them an inch of anything other than pure hate.
BUT...
I do think that Jota's death has/is affecting the players. He was a very very popular member of the squad. Best mates with so many of them, and for his death to be so sudden, its not something they can just get over.
Add in a couple of bad results and its hard to pick yourself up, with the pressure of winning and getting out of this shit position, on top of the grief. Plus, that media rhetoric of winning FOR Jota...so if you slip up and you arent winning, they may feel they are letting him down etc
I felt for Robertson after the Scotland game, he said (no one mentioned it first he just brought it up) said he was thinking of his mate Jota in the dressing room, as they used to talk about going to the world cup together. He got emotional. Like you would.
I think the fans grief porn is weird. They dont know Jota, yet they act like they always do, like they are these massive victims in everything.
But i do think the players are affected by it, and tbh it would be strange if they werent.
Also, theres no need for comms or presenters to be banging on about it constantly, because it cheapens it, it makes it gimmicky.
It was horrible and sad and not that long ago. No one needs to over dramatise it.
Anyway, i feel sick now sticking up for them cunts.
