Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Want him to fail.
Offered nothing for three years then thought he could run his contract down if he wasn’t offered a big pay rise.
Did us out a swap for minteh last year because he overvalued himself.
Needs a knock back down to earth.

Living in the North east Newcastle its the last place I want him to come. I remember hating seeing Duncan in a black and white shirt.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
So we've got 2 resident North East experts on the site who can tell us we're talking bollocks whenever we express an opinion about Newcastle, Sunderland or Middlesborough, because they know a lad at footie training who supports them? Is that what you're saying?Evertonian418 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 12:56 pm Living in the North east Newcastle its the last place I want him to come. don't look back in anger.....Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 11:05 am I think ''disgusting'' is a bit strong, but I agree with the general sentiment.
It's like breaking up with someone on relatively good terms, and wanting them to suffer after the relationship ends. It's not healthy and not good for anyone.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
I'd like to see him get the move his recent record deserves and continue to play at the same level
Not sure why anyone would be hoping he'd get a great move and really improve. Seems like a nice lad and I hope he has a nice life but I hope the next couple of years of it are relegation and the championship
He played the contract game and it looks like he's lost big time. I don't think his next contract will be more than half our original offer he left on the table

Nice passive aggressive comment for no reason there.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 1:03 pm So we've got 2 resident North East experts on the site who can tell us we're talking bollocks whenever we express an opinion about Newcastle, Sunderland or Middlesborough, because they know a lad at footie training who supports them? Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
No hate as such for me or "wanting him to fail" as others have said, just calling it how I think it will go.
He was statistically (I think) one of, if not the worst, finishers in all of Europe.
I doubt his injuries will improve as he has been this way his whole career, unless Eddie Howe uses him wisely.
Just reckon wherever he ends up he won't be pulling up trees. If he proves me wrong fair play, it will be good for him.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
I'll feel better about him if he goes to another league. If he goes to like Milan or Fiorentina and starts scoring goals and enjoying life then good on him.
If he goes to Newcastle and suddenly learns how to finish then I'll probably be bitter about it.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Think if someone did a 5 minute youtube montage of his greatest misses it would be an amazing watch. Just 300 seconds of Dom wafting a boot at an open goal and sending it over the bar from a yard out. Lad was a genius at missing the unmissable.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
I'm 66 years old, supported Everton since 1967, did have a season ticket for 20 years, so I think I can post a comment without a snide comment. Not once did I express a comment suggesting anyone was talking bollocks(apart from you), only to say I hate seeing ex Everton players playing for Newcastle. I guess you'd be happy watching our players turning out for Liverpool by the sound of it. By the way my family is from Liverpool I just happen to live in the north east.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 1:03 pm So we've got 2 resident North East experts on the site who can tell us we're talking bollocks whenever we express an opinion about Newcastle, Sunderland or Middlesborough, because they know a lad at footie training who supports them? Apologies. I used you to have a friendly little pop at someone else. Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Don't care where he goes, all irrelevant until he bags a one on one against us in the last few minutes
