Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Oof I know it’s a friendly but 3-0 after 20 mins isn’t a great look for Wales against England.

Re: James Tarkowski
He's fine. Good senior pro and generally dependable. Wonder what sort of player he'd be if he'd stayed at Brentford rather than played Dyche-ball for years. Yeah, was listening to a football podcast the other day and I don't remember the context but they mentioned some stat when at Brentford he was...

Re: Thierno Barry
Funny to see how many palace fans were bemoaning Matetas finishing at the weekend tbf 'if we had a finisher...' Football fans answer to everything is a new striker. I do agree with the general point, but also it feels like there are very few great/natural strikers in the league at the moment. Haala...

Re: Beto
Yeah, I'd be on the side of that's not great from Moyes. Maybe Beto takes it as motivation though, I don't know. I just think for public comments it's best to build up the players especially as we know the strikers are probably not at their most confident right now. When you look back at the replays...

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Yeah, in fairness to Brentford they could've got something from this with the chance they had.
After a very wobbly start they looking fairly solid again. Given their turnover in players and the manager, they looking more ok-ish now.
Not really sure where they'll end up this season though.

Re: Tyler Dibling
The three of them (Grealish/Ndiaye/Dibling) were all much of a muchness. I can see why Dibling was pulled out the three though as clearly Grealish and Ndiaye are generally speaking amongst our best attacking threats. With Grealish out for next game I expect Ndiaye goes left and Dibling gets another ...

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Rodri is finished as a player isn't he. It can be a long long way back after those sorts of major injuries. Even if the knee is ok, after being out that long you probably have to strengthen all the other supporting muscles back up that have atrophied a bit otherwise I imagine it'd be quite easy to ...

Re: Thierno Barry
Maybe a mad shout but I don’t care. I’m still starting him and letting him work it out. Second half Beto is our best CF right now. Can’t be bothered with the ball rocketing off the shins of the first half version. Ndiaye or Alcaraz or whoever else isn’t the answer either, you dull what they do well...

Re: Jack Grealish
On scoring his first Everton goal: "It's brilliant. It's so nice to score here. Do you know what's mad? The last games we've played here we've been drawing and I keep saying to myself in the 85th minute, 'Come on Jack, go and score. Imagine if you scored now'. I did it against Villa, I did it a...

Pleased he's doing well, and it's great to think we could well have a player more up to speed ready to come into the team next season.

Swiss Army knife of a player. Fantastic stop second half from his RB position after we gave the ball away.

Yeah, great second half by him. Made a big difference. He and Beto brought some energy we were missing without KDH.

Re: Thierno Barry
Talk of him getting a run of 5-6 games seems to be highly unlikely given that first half. We can’t afford to carry a performance like that, although he was certainly not the only one.
A shame for him the way that went. Needs to build back up with some positive substitute appearances.
