Re: Thierno Barry

What happens if you're in the home end and someone starts talking to you? Do you pretend to have an in depth knowledge of their squad? "Oh yeah, I can't believe we sold Dubravka with these two clowns switching in goal" I went to West Brom v Barnsley (I think) in the Championship in 2002. ...

Re: 25-26 Relegation Thread

I've been saying Leeds for about a month because it felt like their good run came too early and they didn't maintain it. Always felt Spurs would end up getting enough points to stay up, West Ham are playing much better and will likely stay up, and fancied Forest to nick a few close wins. Looking at ...

Re: Thierno Barry

was stood next to the group of black fans that were attacked. I was told that they were family/friends of our players before KO.... they looked like 2 or three different family groups, but they may have all been together. I didn't see any of them celebrate the goals (but there were a couple behind ...

Re: Thierno Barry

Very impressed with some of you renaissance men in here saying you object to punching someone’s head in over sport. Hope one day to be as evolved as that. I mean, I punted my labrador off a cliff tonight when I saw both Branthwaite and Tarky were out so I'm certainly not getting on any high horses ...

Re: James Tarkowski

Yeah it does feel a bit odd, but Moyes has been especially defensive and careful with stuff he's said to the media this season IMO. You'd think it would be easy to say that he's had a knock in training or whatever rather than absolutely nothing, but at the moment I'm not convinced it's anything more...

Re: Thierno Barry

Obviously it's not right to batter someone over football, but at the same time it's a known quantity that it's likely to happen if that situation arises. Fucking stupid behaviour to have his mates in there like that supporting Arsenal, he's got to take some responsibility for that. That's not defend...

Re: Tim Iroegbunam

Probably his most mature game for us I'd say, he just did everything well and tbh I didn't think taking him off was a good idea.

Re: Today's Football 2025-26

Looking like 3 out of 6 English teams left next round at best, more likely 2 I would think (Arsenal and the RS).

Shit for the coefficient, but better for football overall IMO.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock

https://www.grandoldteam.com/2026/03/09/why-im-not-renewing-my-everton-season-ticket-for-2026-27/ I'm going to renew, but the thought did cross my mind it may not be worth it. Suspect that waiting list will be reduced by quite a bit next year though. Yeah we'll renew too but it sounds like lots won...

Re: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Really good addition to the squad but I'm still not convinced on him as the 10 and think he's much better as one of a midfield three. Main issue with him as the 10 is that he seems to pick the wrong pass too often when breaking forward with time to think, his technique is obviously there I think it...

Re: The race for... Europe?

Obviously would much rather the Europa League, but I'd still take the Conference League over not qualifying. I think we'd be in position to recruit reasonably well to ensure our squad was capable of the extra matches, we'd have a decent chance of winning it, and it might be a bit of fun too. Don't t...

Re: The fall of Spurs

They've just got no identity as a team, certainly this season and even under Ange despite his obvious tactical uniqueness. No idea what they're trying to be, or what type of player they are trying to sign - just seems totally haphazard and then the injuries expose it all. Players like Xavi Simons wh...

Was hoping for the 12.30 Saturday slot as that's a day trip on the boat, but can't really complain about this one tbf.
