Re: Today's Football 2025-26

I know they have a small squad but Glasner is doing a pretty good job of making a mess of Europe. They've got 38 points they're not going down. He's not going to be there next season. Fuck the league off and throw everything into winning the Conference League and going out on a high. Imagine a mana...

Re: The race for... Europe?

I'm just happy/ relieved we're currently more of a chance to play for the Conference League trophy than the EFL trophy or LDV Vans cup.

Re: Today's Football 2025-26

Did anyone catch Neto getting the ball off the PSG ballboy who wasn't letting it go. Neto went in a bit closer to grab it out of his grasp and the ballboy takes a dive against the hoarding and rolls along the touchline as if he's been hit. 'Pathetic' doesn't quite sum it up. The bulldust is spreadin...

Re: Jordan Pickford

From my 80s and 90s eyes, the only thing lacking is that he doesn't "command" the area. Keepers should bulldoze their way through half a dozen bodies and claim balls. But (and this is why I stand by what I said), the game is changed and no keeper does that any more really. Ollie Khan woul...

Re: VAR and is there a way to fix it?

Get rid of penalties, completely. See if players would stay on their feet and try to put it into the net rather than focussing on falling over. The skill of a difficult finish is more interesting than the skill of trying to engineer a believable falling over...followed by 5 minutes of analysis of TV...

Re: Jordan Pickford

Trophy's are too disputable a source to use as the reason one is better. Agree. And sorry to pick the bones, and this probably isn't the right thread, maybe the gripes thread or whatever it's called...but there is nothing/little more irrelevant in a team game with 11 players and their combined succ...

Quite a few, ahem, since you mention it, Gash.

Some VERY fancy footwork too, amongst some extremely clever play.
Futsal, baby! And props to big Kevvy T, master-stroke.
