Forest to Brentford. (with the obvious caveat that Forest aren't at the same level as Villa or United. But it was still a big away result)

Re: January Transfer Window
As always, if the right deal comes along - make it.
If not, we have no reason to be held over a barrel this season. Even abject failure for the next 4 months would still probably result in a finish that would be considered a success in recent years.

Re: David Moyes
I was against him coming back and spent a bit of time negging everything related to him. All the stuff we're hating at the moment, all the "no the man for the next level" stuff you're all thinking? Well, he is the man to take us to the next level when we realise 12 months ago our level was...

Re: David Moyes
When he first came the first time round I remember a few years of having a brilliant calendar season followed by a shite one.
If the pattern holds true then we've a long 12 months ahead of us.
But, this time next year we'll begin a push for Europe at least!

Re: January Transfer Window
Moyes has managed to get a decent but unremarkable West Ham team into Europe by finishing 6th. The following season he got them to the Europa League semi-final and finished 7th in the league, and the season after that they finished 14th in the league and won the Conference League. If we had an arc ...

Re: January Transfer Window
I think the main difference of opinion here is between those that think qualifying for Europe won't really hinder us next year, or if it does, it will be marginal. And those that suspect Europe next year could result in another relegation battle. I'd slightly prefer some stability. But I also want r...

Re: The race for... Europe?
Not sure where you're getting 3 Europa spots from in that situation? League Cup winners get a conference league spot which just means 1-5 Champions League and 6-7 Europa League. Nothing for anyone else 2 from the league and 1 for the cup isn't it? Or is it: if Wolves and Burnley won the two cups (I...

Re: January Transfer Window
I think if we sign a 29+ year old striker who is more rounded it will just eat into Barry's opportunities. Maybe that's fine maybe it's crap I dunno If we sell Beto I'm up for bringing in a completely different option (in terms of style) to Barry. Preferably someone you could play alongside Barry w...

Re: The race for... Europe?
Lost track a long time ago of the permutations. English club winning champs league doesn't change the 1-5 anymore unless they are outside the top 5 and then it's the top 4 qualify isn't it? Similar with Europa league? We get 2 places regardless of whether an English club win it or not? There's no &q...

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
The most important thing is the trajectory, which is upwards and getting better. That’s all you can ever ask for with players, especially youngsters. It shows he is developing in training and getting valuable matchday experience. I do think Garners rise and influence has massively helped as well. H...

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Great games the last couple. Didn't realise initially how much better as I'd missed some. Doesn't do the shiny stuff in the game, but the ball winning, slight changes of pace to burst past players, body work on protecting the ball, body shape receiving it, improving with his passing ( except for a ...

Re: David Moyes
I'd have more joy seeing Moyes lift a cup with us than any other manager. Yeah - as much as i was negative about him coming in, i agree with this completely. It hurts a bit that he never got over the line against Chelsea (or past Liverpool in that semi) because along with Moyes himself, its a crime...
