Re: Everton v Leeds
Feels like one of the biggest games of the season for us now. We know we can get results away against plenty of teams. We've got to solve the home thing if we're going to do something special (any kind of Europe), relative to our expectations at the start of the season. Just 15 games left after this...

Hoping West Ham continue this improvement and drag Forest down.
Good start.

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
I don't think the Premier League is up to much either (I know you disagree BD), so to see the likes of Spurs and Newcastle and even Liverpool where they are after their performances this season isn't a great indicator of the strength of footy all round at the minute. Rooney laughed at Walcott askin...

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
I just think the Premier League is far stronger than other European leagues at the moment. That's why you had two teams just above relegation in the Europa League final last season, and you have a struggling Liverpool domestically beating European teams easily. The wealth and the depth of Prem teams...

Re: James Garner
I think £125k is about right for his profile, age, Englishness etc and I don't even rate him that much.
Even if he doesn't continue to improve and stays at this level, he'll still be very sellable in the coming years for a more than decent fee.

Re: James Garner
He's definitely improved a fair bit as a player, but I would still say Wharton is well clear of him and could walk into most midfields in world football.
Anderson is being slowly ruined by Dyche, so there's been a significant drop off from him in recent weeks/months.

Re: Thierno Barry
It's a weird one, but it's almost like young players from abroad need time to adapt to new leagues before they are dismissed as ''crap''.

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Loved it. Do feel bad for the Moroccan players, because I don't think they did anything dodgy, but thrilled for our lads and particularly the legend that is Idrissa Gueye with his 134 caps. Sensational player and professional.

I think he'd have smashed it well wide if he was doing a nice gesture.Indiantoffee75 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 18, 2026 9:17 pm Wonder if he meant that?
So it could be settled on pens (albeit Senegal should have won it)
Instead he tried to take the piss.

There was nothing wrong with Senegal's goal a few minutes ago.
