Re: David Moyes
Martinez got the balance between defence and attack almost pretty much spot on in his first season. Then tactics changed that made us considerably less defensively solid. We were terrible defensively considering we still had Baines, Jagielka and Coleman plus he persisted with Howard when we could s...

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
Bit different playing 30+ games , ok it was under the same manager debut and retired but not sure its the same Yeah , I know, I was just taking Bally's question litterally. 😀 You could add first and last proffessional game, but of course he played for Sligo before his Everton debut, possibly Blackp...

Re: The Seamus Coleman factor
I would imagine there are quite a few players that joined later on in their career, made their debut and then retired while at the club.

46 points, 13th. I didn't just lazily copy IndianToffee's post.

Re: Jack Harrison
Only thing I would say in his favour, just to offer a counter point is potentially another loan, depending on how the summer goes. Moyes will want to maintain the overall workrate across the middle and I suspect he likes the extra mobility Harrison brings without the ball, playing in front of JOB, f...

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
I'm not really commenting on the player. I just feel like Moyes isn't massively convinced. Yeah, I did read that and interpreted it as such BD. I've been wrong about plenty of signings.. I thought Besic was going to be a superstar. But if Charlie stays and remains fit he'll reach 15 in goals and as...

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
You're a fickle bunch.. there was a general buzz 2 pages back, then 75 minutes away to Liverpool, 15 minute sub against Arsenal and the enthusiasm has drained right away!
He hasnt even made his home debut yet!

Re: Jesper Lindstrom
We"ve had a few scandi-wingers come to think of it, Alexanderson, too well, maybe 4 in 25 years.
Top 5 prem wingers ..
Kanchelskis
Pienaar
Pre-knee Arteta
Limpar
Mirallas
Gerri ... for those early games when he was boss
Yeah thats 6.

Is Jesper Blomqvist a lazy comparison? Blomqvist did manage to score a goal, so probably.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Not sure that's what he's saying, more that he'll only play and buy people who fit the mould or have potential to, and that us not seeing much of him so far suggests moyes might not be too keen and he's more likely to go for a different profile of player in that position. Who knows, maybe he does s...

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Give David Moyes £15m and see if he spends it on a little guy who does nothing but "continues his development". You'll get a 26 year old big man and you'll bloody like it. He bought Cahill for the same role from first division Milwall. Hardly the finished article when he came here. He sor...

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Had all the tools, very likeable lad, wish him well. Shite finisher of course as we know, a one on one horrorshow. but for me, his main negative was he just lacked any competive edge. Its almost as if he fell into football as a career option, narrowly edging out junior branch manager at Sheffield Ci...

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Comments seem to acknowledge he is athletic, very good on the ball, but lacks positional awareness so is somwhow limited. I dont really understand that, surely the raw talent is there and the positional aspect of the game will come with game time. He's only a kid isn't he. I remember Coleman getting...

Re: Jake O'Brien
I still think he's a fair bit off starting next to Branthwaite next season, also don't think it helps Branthwaite's development having an inexperienced CB next to him. Season after next maybe, but it'll be another season of Tarks before then. Hard to judge him as a CB based on playing at RB. I thin...
