Re: Arsenal v Everton
Not sure the stats tbh, but I meant more what you said about conceding soft goals from them. We're generally strong but I also wouldn't feel confident saying we'd shut out Arsenal because for some reason we have games where we aren't great... and it feels like this will be one of those games. I rem...

Intelligent and very good in front of a camera, he's a nailed on pundit if he doesn't go into management.

Re: The race for... Europe?
I do see Uefa cup as springboard to prep for CL, which proves you have a squad thats ready to compete. I think that'll take longer than one more transfer window though and I expect our league form to suffer next season if we're in the conference. Speculating of course, but just how I see it, at this...

Re: The race for... Europe?
Whats the feeling on here of Conference League? I assume people would be happy for the extra games, for pretty small revenues, given the impact on a small and developing squad, in terms of league position? Last derby I was bickering with a red about this point, that its a buffer for teams to try and...

Re: Jordan Pickford
I got a stats thing to show me the top keepers in the world based on stats. Pickford was 30th. Some of the mad made up stats these days piss me off a bit so I did it purely on save percentage, no other metric, and in this one Pickford was 17th. Yeah, quality of strikers and finishing across the wor...

Re: Jordan Pickford
Can’t disagree, just that big Nev 99% of the time took crosses, other thing I can remember is that he tended to keep hold of the ball when he made saves rather than parrying them. That was a generational thing though, Keepers nowadays dont catch the ball half as much as they used to. Probably becau...

Re: The Friedkin Group
This is something people are probably missing in the Moyes debate too, when we talk about ceilings. Quite happy to see him continue and see where he can take us over the next copule of years. But equally, 2-3 years under a safe pair of hands will give us a better understanding of what the new owners...

Re: Dwight McNeil
No one need throw themselves under a bus on here, nsno self regulates well. It was a welcome insight into the deadline day at a human level for a footballer's family. Her comments should be welcomed, certainly not dismissed by Talk Sport. I'd like to think someone spells it out to Jordan amd he aplo...

Re: Adam Aznou
Maybe if he'd had a few more minutes, we could have secured a domestic loan move for him. Much rather he had a run at a Championship team, as a defender, to get used to the pace and physicality week in week out.

Re: Dwight McNeil
Find the reaction to it totally insincere tbh. I think its fair to take stock, reflect and maybe collectively tone it down a bit. If someone is not good enough or having a shit game, then 100% nothing wrong with expressing that. Dont like when it gets more personal, theres just a line isnt there. M...

Re: Dwight McNeil
I think its good she spoke up and gives a bit of human context to deadline day and the general commoditization of players. I was watching Toffee TV for a bit but found the carnival atmosphere, supported by the live chat a bit much. Yes they get paid a lot and people are entitled to express their opi...

Re: Dwight McNeil
Yeah probably lost a bit of heart too, he must know his future is elsewhere.
Only just turned 26! Plenty of time for him to go again, wish him well.
