Based on what?

I'd love it to be true but I don't see it

Re: Thierno Barry

The mad thing is, I don’t think he’s improved that much in other areas, just his efforts on goal. Aerial duels, runs in behind etc seem about the same. I think he’s scrapping a bit more though, trying to be a bit more of a handful as well. But other than what happens when the ball leaves his toe - ...

Re: David Moyes

If we don't sign anybody then I'd honestly look at going with Branthwaite as a super defensive left back and Patterson as an attacking RB to provide width. Put faith in Dibling and give him games asking him to drift inside whilst Patterson bombs on, going to a back three when we're attacking using O...

Re: David Moyes

Out entire line up is back to front, we should be focusing play down the right not the left now Grealish is out. Moyes plan seems to be one wide CAM whose job it is to start wide and cut inside whilst the fullback overlaps, and one winger who is a solo dribbler with a defensive fullback beside him a...

Re: Mykolenko

He absolutely needs upgrading but for me there seems to be a different bar in terms of judgement to patterson. Worst player ever vs done nothing wrong and should play the rest of the season Hes better than Patterson defensively and while he's pretty awful offensively patterson doesn't really even g...

Re: January Transfer Window

He’s more of a RW than attacking midfielder isn’t he?

Given our absolute dearth of wingers he would be a good signing on a free/cheap and would probably walk into our first team tbh

Re: Merlin Röhl

This season has seen a really positive shift in our central midfield area. Garner has become a fantastic player and starting to look like a leader in the middle. Tim has massively improved his game and could become a really decent squad player at least for us. Merlin has only just started but it al...

James Garner

Rice has filled in there for Arsenal and James for Chelsea too

More likely a combo of the fact that we don’t have a lot of the ball and he’s on a lot of set pieces

Re: James Garner

It's the going rate for a proven PL midfielder in his prime, purely because the other option is him running his contract down and getting a big signing on bonus somewhere else. First contract after being prem proven is a massive boost, it's why Ndiaye is only on 45k a week and Branthwaite is on 120k...

Re: James Garner

As he is right now he's a top half sitting DM for the premier league so we should definitely extend that contract and he'd happily fit in our squad for years. He has the technique to play those more creative passes between the lines, switches of play and balls in behind so if he can learn to do that...

Re: January Transfer Window

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t want a young gun at right back - would much prefer a more established player.

I love Moyes but I don’t trust him to play a young hipster ahead of O’Brien - even though it would obviously better for squad building and FFP

We’d be a Barry injury away from no striker though

Re: David Moyes

He's noted himself several times that we don't score many goals but we've not done a whole lot tactically to try and alleviate that - it does leave a niggling worry at the back of your mind that we'll still be watching negative football even in 18 months with some new signings and everybody fit. The...

Re: James Garner

Wait who's saying get rid? You were talking about a gravy train earlier implying we should cash in - reality is that we'd get max £40m for him and I don't trust us to bring in a replacement who is the same level. We can't be replacing the whole club as much as some people seem to want to - Pickford...

Re: January Transfer Window

I don't think we're desperate to buy but if we have funds then looking at players who are out of contract in 6 months and might be available on the cheap would be a good idea like Harry Wilson or Ryan Sessegnon at Fulham. The likes of Wilson might have better options in the summer as a free agent bu...
