Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Nor do we want KDH flogging himself chasing down centre halves either, we want him on the ball further back. Alcaraz is a willing grafter and is the only player we have with any inclination to carry the ball and drive up the pitch. We may well get a run of games to see Alcaraz now. After Arsenal th...

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
So Alcaraz runs around a lot Sound At least that’s cleared that up  Big difference between running around a lot and pressing really effectively. KDH runs a lot but doesn't press anywhere near as well. People might not want to see it, but there was a very clear change in how we performed the...

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Surely Barry has been more pivotal than Alcaraz? Has he done anything in particular other than look busy and hustle? I like it will enough but in not sure if he's been pivotal like. Alcaraz's pressing has been key to teams not being able to play out from the back. It's no surprise once he started g...

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Probably because Barry clearly has a much higher ceiling and Alcaraz is here on a two year deal after coming from Brazil. He’s just a squad player. Won’t be anything more than that. There’s not much else to develop from what we’ve already seen. Yeah maybe, but I actually think he's got the potentia...

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
All true but also unless he plays and develops then he won't iron out the rawness he has. Seems some are willing to give Barry the time to develop whilst putting in sub par performances but not Alcaraz who has been pivotal in our recent wins. Either we want to develop younger players or we don't, se...

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Let's just forget the raking cross field pass to Grealish in the same match that set up his chance eh?
I get you're just trying to throw shit and hope something sticks to the wall with your OTT criticism of players but it's getting really tedious.

Re: Merlin Röhl
Looking back it's quite a strange signing this one when we've already got a bunch of CMs who are happier attacking than defending (Iroegbunam, KDH, Alcaraz). You'd think we would have been after a player who is happy to sit, I guess we went for Rohl just because they would let us pay next season We...

Re: January Transfer Window
Gray never had the work rate to be a premier league player. Obviously talented player and could bang in the occasional worldie, but far too lazy to ever be a top division player.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Genuinely I think he'd be better as a ST option than a CM, you can't trust him with the ball in your own half. Handy player to have when you're chasing a game though as he presses well and does try to make things happen even if he loses the ball - not sure I can ever see him developing into a start...

Re: January Transfer Window
We have to spend on at least one player along with a loan or 2 that will be enough until the summer but it needs to happen quickly I fear what our team will look like by mid January without reinforcements I think if we had anything to spend we'd have done so in the summer. Would make no sense keepi...

Re: James Garner
Thought he was really good on Saturday, definitely improved a lot this season and whilst he may never be universally popular he's definitely finding a new level this season.

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
Has anyone ever seen him play the CF position that dominated his career before he came to us? Strikes me as odd that we have a player capable of scoring goals not being played there, taking the right winger position which means a £40m right winger we bought in the summer can't get any game time. Wi...

Re: January Transfer Window
I think that the current right back situation is a.major factor holding Dibling back to be honest. If you're playing a proper out and out winger, you need a reliable full back who knows when to overlap and when to stay. It's a bit much to ask of a young winger to expect him to bomb past the opposit...
