Re: Everton Academy, U21s etc...
35m striker who looks leagues below what we require currently. A left back who can't get a game when we haven't got a fit left back other than him. Its reasonable to question if they'll ever be good enough because they've been so poor. I assume the club were expecting more in the short term because...

Re: Today's Football 2025-26
Its telling about the apathy toward the national side that there was not a single post made here during the 5-0 win at Latvia. Wales and NI at least managed a passing mention. 😅 My kid wanted me to watch this with him last night but it was just going to be an attack Vs defence training match so did...

Re: Everton Academy, U21s etc...
Close to 90m. We've completely fucked up our recruitment again. Signed a load of players who csnt get in our team or make much of an impact off the bench. As TheRam said we all demanded young players for the future and then people start getting pissed off when we do that and they aren't ready to im...

Re: What are you expecting from 2025/26
Don’t think we have ever been so lucky. Brighton, Palace and Wolves should have had a penalty for 3-3 and an absolute meltdown. Isn't that just the life of a mid table team? Some games you win by a fine margin and others you lose by one. We're neither good enough to win all the games we should and ...

Re: What are you expecting from 2025/26
So after 7 games we're on 11 points... 5 points off top and 3 behind the top 4. Obviously not expecting us to compete for either but I think that's a pretty good start given our strikers can't score or hold up the ball and Moyes hasn't worked out his best team yet. If we kept up that points per game...

Re: Dwight McNeil
During my kid's under 11s today the opposition made a sub... As the new player ran on to the field his coach shouted 'remember... Dwight McNeil'. I found this very confusing, was he reminding the kid the play like Dwight McNeil or actively warning him about the dangers of doing so? I didn't find out...

Re: Rank the Goalkeepers
I can still remember Richard Wright being touted as the next big thing. Just before he signed for Arsenal from Ipswich, IIRC. He was supposedly going to be England's number one for years to come. He was absolute fucking shite! Had a very high ceiling, unfortunately he fell through the loft hatch of...

Re: Thierno Barry
Dcl played for this team...... and at the end was sat on the bench. Bit weird to bow be confident he walks into this team Because he was injured and during that time Beto remembered how to play football for a period. Unfortunately since DCL left Beto has forgotten about how to play football again. ...

Re: Thierno Barry
Both Palace and Newcastle have wingers who run beyond, which means that opposition defences can’t squeeze Mateta/Woltemede with multiple players like we let happen to Barry/Beto. Palace CBs were skin tight on both even into our half as they know we have no threat in behind Sure but pacey wingers wo...

Re: Thierno Barry
Scored the same amount as Beto this season and one more than Barry, and holds up the ball infinitely better than either.
Think DCL walks in to this team tbh

Re: Beto
Nah the header was tougher than it looked, 2 players back on the line and the keeper to beat. Did nothing wrong imo. Barry missed an easier chance earlier Saturday when he totally missed the ball, Moyes said nothing about that, in fact it's barely been mentioned in general. It's a tactic from Moyes...

Re: Thierno Barry
I feel like having two strikers who are incapable of basic hold up play is gaslighting us in to thinking playing direct balls is some archaic unworkable style of football. You look at Palace and they're the most direct team in the league by a mile, the number of passes they take per chance creation ...

Re: Beto
Obviously not literally but that's how it might feel when someone's consistently digging you out in the media. Just keep it behind close doors don't tell the world! He's not constantly digging him out in the media though, he's both praised him and criticised him... I'd argue he's said more of the f...
