Re: Thierno Barry
Yeah I can get away with being in the Sunderland or Newcastle ends because I have a mixed Yorkshire / Durham / vague Geordie accent. Don't have to worry about speaking and anyone being suspicious. Obviously I also make sure people see my chinning a horse on the way on to ensure my cover is fully int...

Re: Thierno Barry
I know there's a massive difference in doing it and thinking it, but I can't believe @AjaxAndy when you say you've never thought about battering someone at the match Every game I want to kick someone's head in. Obviously I'd never do it but I definitely think it. Against spurs this season I was unf...

Re: Thierno Barry
Didn't he just have a go at the fans who punched his mates? I don't remember him having a go at all the away fans, just the thugs who decided to swing their fists at people he cares about. If he's alienated those fans then who gives a fuck? Can't understand how he's had a go at all the away fans by ...

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Why is everyone still trying to drop Gana despite his performances week in week out Sorry but I’m just not ready Because next season Gana is both 37 and out of contract. Tim is the future and developing really well whilst already possessing elite level parts to his game. Eventually you have to move...

Re: Thierno Barry
There are sometimes unfortunate consequences for doing stupid things when you have only yourself to blame. Sitting in an away end at a football match and cheering on the opposite team is one of those situations. Most people on here will have received a crack or two in their lifetime and many will h...

Re: Thierno Barry
I find the reaction to be mad myself. Even madder is it seems to be the majority of the fanbase. Yep! Can't say I've ever wanted to batter someone at a footy match, and if an opposition fan was in the end near me and maybe not being as discreet as they should be I'd not think 'time for your face to...

Re: Thierno Barry
No-one got seriously hurt. A few bruises and damaged egos for trying to take liberties with a group of men who won't put up with it. Everyone learns a lesson. Put it down to experience and everyone hopefully acts a bit more mature in the future. I find this stance absolutely nuts, but fair enough.

Re: Thierno Barry
I think it's interesting that Barry's mates get battered by our fans and the overriding response seems to be get rid of him, rather than banning the supporters who think it's ok to twat people. I appreciate some already held the view of him not being good enough, so if you already wanted rid then fa...

Re: Thierno Barry
I wonder if their behaviour was partly down to being Barry's mates so thought they were probably immune / protected and could do what they wanted with retribution? Still doesn't excuse anything though, if I saw someone doing that would I think 'class, I get to punch someone in the face now'? No, bec...

Re: Tim Iroegbunam
Absolutely 100% should be starting every game next season in place of Gana. His ball recoveries and ball winning is elite, but the rest of his game is catching up quickly, including his positional discipline. Don't think anyone saw this coming after Newcastle but it seems to have massively spurred h...

Re: Thierno Barry
Still raw and needs to develop, absolutely no issue with him being back up to some Ivan Toney type older striker who can do the basics and score goals more regularly.
