Re: Coventry rip off

Agreed. £18 to park for a friendly is daylight robbery.

Re: Coventry rip off

Mate, try Coventry Welsh Rugby. It's 10/12 mins walk but I parked there for the Rugby League international and it was way cheaper. Give them a bell and see if their clubhouse is open Tuesday night.

It was a while back but they need a balaclava and a sawn off to be charging you £18.

Re: Kalvin Philips On Loan

He was good at what he did at Leeds but the City move killed him. Even his Mom wouldn't have believed he was good enough to get in that midfield and not playing regularly in your peak years can only send you backwards. The fees and wages involved make this too high risk for me. It's not to say he co...

Re: European Football Thread

You lot still buzzing off England if the Klopp gets the job? I hope he doesn't. I have no interest at all in international football and haven't watched an England game for over twenty years but I don't dislike them or hope they lose or anything, I just ignore them the same way I don't wat...

Oh, did he? That didn't get a lot of coverage if I remember rightly.

That seems quite restrained compared to the 4 months they did on Klopp

Unless we're missing something that is the logical conclusion.

Re: General Transfer Thread

I'm sure I read that they had a bigger % but agreed to halve if as Wolves said they couldn't do the deal otherwise. Either way it's a great example of how sell on clauses can be life savers to some clubs. It is true. The Non League Paper said it was initially 20% but they agreed to 10% which still ...

Re: General Transfer Thread

Maidenhead United picking up £4m sell on fee. Potentially transformational for a non league club that.

Oh good, I really look forward to strikers counting the seconds as a keeper holds on to the ball again. :-)

Re: First ever match at Goodison?

1-1 v Norwich 1988. Trevor Steven penalty. Slightly underwhelming for a starter but there you go.

Although we obviously didn't win the league that year, the fact we had won it twice in the previous four seasons reassured seven year old me it was only a matter of time...

Rather oddly, given that I think we would have had some fairly substantial political, personal and social differences, myself and the Revd Paisley share the same first name and the same initials.

I am a bit disconcerted.

Re: Tim Iroegbunam

Don't know much about Tim to be fair but one of the Villa fans who withdraws wages from the same employer that I work for thinks he'll do alright for us but last season showed he is never going to be CL standard and that is the standard needed at Villa Park these days. I hope Tim smashes one in at t...
