Re: Today's Football 2023-24
I’m sure those League Two clubs appreciate missing out on potential plum fixture that could help their existence because UEFA have made their calendar busier…

Surprised at how popular fa cup replays seem to be.
I’ve never heard anyone say a good thing about them and when they come around nobody can be bothered with them.
They’re some of the drabbest games of football I’ve watched.

Always said it should be agreed by the clubs involved before the match whether to replay or not. Goes without saying that Crystal Palace v Everton probably can't be arsed with a replay. If it's Man United v Plymouth and they can't come to an agreement then it is replayed.

Not really arsed about replays , but playing the final before the season finishes is shite.

Not really arsed about the competition anymore tbh. Can't remember looking forward to the FA Cup for years.

Used to always watch the build up on BBC or itv in the ,80s and 90's , can't remember the last final I watched fully.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 2:44 pm Not really arsed about the competition anymore tbh. Can't remember looking forward to the FA Cup for years.
Thinking about the scrapping why from the 1st round.
If it's all for reducing the calendar for european nights , then just scrap it for teams in Europe and let them agree the the FA and EFL what compensation the opposition teams gets if they get drawn against them.

Or just remove the teams in Europe from it. Gives someone a chance at Europe outside of the standard 6 even if only for one season.weimaranerblues wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 3:15 pm Used to always watch the build up on BBC or itv in the ,80s and 90's , can't remember the last final I watched fully.

£5 at 33/1 for the reds to win on pens and Salah to score.
