Yeah sorry I was still still editing and typing. :)

My point was, yes he was a little exposed, true but the CBs need to adapt more and switch on, if we're going to play Röhl, especially so high up the pitch. Felt they got sucked toward Mateta too much on both those chances.

Baines used to get the same criticism about being caught out of position when under the England spotlight and it used to piss me off as you cant be in 2 places when the team loaes possession and ideally you need your center DMs to drop in to allow the FB some cover. Maybe missing Gana in that sense, as he had the discipline to sit and cover.

Just stuff to work on but loved seeing Röhl offering something extra going forward. Just have that man extra as an option all the time.

Match Ticket Requests/Spares Thread

Issue is if he goes and gets "caught out of position".... he gets called out on here..
if he stays and doesn't get forward to support....he gets called out on here....

i dont want him playing RB.. much prefer him in midfield...but whilst he's there he's doing a job...and a good one...

I'm not sure he forces HH or HA out of CM though, he doesnt protect the ball as well as they do from the evidence I have seen in the middle and he was genuinely poor playing the 10 when KDH was missing. That said be happy to see him CM v Preston to protect our CM which is a bit light until Garner and Nørgaard fully return.

He's a RM as opposed to a winger, against top opposition and we're defending 65% of the game but can break at oace. He'd be ideal there, like he was against City, then as RB cover when needed. I'd be happy with that as a squad player. Thats not a criticism, vesatility is a great quality to have.

I’d love to see Rohl come do the KDH role when he’s out. Push him central and further forward and take the brakes off him in the cup games.

Needs to be wrapped up in cotton wool this week. He’s our only RB at present.
