Re: The Friedkin Group
Looks like they've landed Gasperini for Roma.
Feel like this is good news for us this, shows their ambition and intent to be able to poach him from their rivals.

Re: The Friedkin Group
Genuinely never thought Gasperini would leave Atalanta. Mad how they have got him out that club.
Re: The Friedkin Group
Hopefully it bodes well for us and future appointments.
Wonder how they pitched it to him?

Could we come unstuck if us and Roma both get Europe?

Wasn't this sorted out last season?Deano Blue Boy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 10:37 am https://www.skysports.com/football/vide ... opa-league

I'm sure there was some loophole that would allow us to play in the same competition.
Could be wrong though but the question was raised.
Re: The Friedkin Group
Feel like this comes up every now and again and is never an issue. See United and Nice with Ineos.

Didn’t the Forest guy just stick his shares in a “blind account” in anticipation of them and Olympiakos being in the Champions League?Deano Blue Boy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 10:37 am https://www.skysports.com/football/vide ... opa-league

He still runs both clubs, he’s just got a patsy to be on the paperwork

Man City were in the champions league this season with a Spanish side in the same group

UEFA regulations prohibit any individual from having significant influence over two clubs competing in the same UEFA competition, and the organisation's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) will need to rule on any potential breach.777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 3:18 pm Man City were in the champions league this season with a Spanish side in the same group
The way I read the ruling is that it is because textor is an individual with controling stake, and the city group is not.

Re: The Friedkin Group
Interesting that we've bought Chris Howarth's data and analytics company, Insight Sport, as part of recruiting him and that they're likely to use it for all clubs in the Friedkin group.
