He should be here to build the team, might take a few more windows, then someone can come in and use the team.

I agree with Todacelli, I think it was, who said that a renewed contract with the reservation to keep whining is an ok solution. He isn't the hero we want but the one we deserve...

Today again you could see his limitations. There was no surprise that the AFCON was coming and that the Christmas schedule is busy and taking its toll...
But Did he try to ease in the younger ones to prepare for the this situation? Or even let them have 10-15 mins here and there? Nope. He runs his preferred XI to the ground and then expect the young ones to come in all at once and accomplish what exactly?
It's one thing to play as a youngster with the rest of first team XI and a whole other matter to play when there is basically a complete second string.
That's not how to develop youngsters....

Fuck what?

He’s doing fine.

We need to stop thinking changing managers all the time is the silver bullet.

Things need to get a lot worse before a change of manager is even considered.

Didn't say he needs sacking, just think he doesn't take us up from here.

And I wouldn't call this "doing fine", either.

I'm not advocating for sacking him but his team selections even from early on in the season have had the same Moyes stubborn negativity that we had with him first time round and I've pretty much checked out resigned to us floating around mid table.

It's probably what we need, he will get results more often than not but I've seen this show before.

Would love to see us play show some distinct patterns of play and not always trying to hoof it up to the striker

Disappointing one, but hardly an embarrassment like. Very tough draw to get a confident Prem team. Palace and Forest's results are an embarrassment. The side we had available actually did fairly well to be competitive and get it ET.

Pens were predictably shit.

I’d be changing half the squad before the manager

This transfer mob have got some work to do before next season

What would you call it then?

Two points off European places, well clear of relegation.

Was anyone really expecting better than this?

It was always going to be a long process after the last five years.

No manager comes in next season without a similar run of results or performances happening.

That’s the club we are and will be for a while yet.

Moyes has the final say on transfers though. This committee set up gives him more input in recruitment than managers who work under a DoF, which is most PL teams

what I'm seeing doesn't merit a new contract.

He's still got 18 months in his current one, no point stressing whether he's getting a new one at this point.
