Its telling about the apathy toward the national side that there was not a single post made here during the 5-0 win at Latvia. Wales and NI at least managed a passing mention. πŸ˜…

International football bores me to be honest. Especially so when it disrupts the domestic season and included in the break is a completely meaningless friendly. I know last night's game was a WC qualifiers, but was there really any point at all in them playing Wales the other day? Completely pointless. In any case, the group that England are in is not exactly competitive. There's not a single team in that group that England should be in any way concerned about beating convincingly. That makes it even more boring, listening to pundits wanking themselves silly over an "amazing England performance" against poor opposition.

My kid wanted me to watch this with him last night but it was just going to be an attack Vs defence training match so didn't fancy it. I'm quite passionate about the national team, but games like this are pointless as.a viewing spectacle.

And it's been going on for years, meaningless qualifiers that are no better than mis matched friendlies, and we miss out on club football for this crap.
One of the broadsheets today actually had the headline England qualify after destroying Latvia, as if was some amazing big deal they achieved

Wonder if anyone bothers reporting on it over here, or if they’re too worried about missing out on future deals if they do

It's grim listening to Forest supporting Darren Fletcher glazing his shitty club.

Chelsea could be a decent team if they found a goalkeeper who can kick a ball

Missing Caicedo massively. Different team without him.

Fernandez as well. Neto has the beating of Zinchenko every time so far, god help him if they bring the Brazilian lad on.
