Bet he laps up being “the biggest sports star in South Korea” though, as the BBC have already branded himGash wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 1:16 pm You do wonder why no one's touched Lingard, I'm sure he could have done a job for a promoted team or in the Championship. I know it'll mainly be the money, wanting top wages when he's not a top footballer so priced himself out of the market but you can't help think he's become a bit of a laughing stock at times and hasn't help himself. Built up into something he never was, he's another player who financially has probably earned far more than his ability warranted. The money will no doubt be good but he could end up another Henderson where no amount of money can make up for the complete change of culture, lifestyle and distance from home.

He probably is the biggest name in football there, that says as much about South Korean football as it does about Jesse Lingard.Cereal Killer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 2:18 pm Bet he laps up being “the biggest sports star in South Korea” though, as the BBC have already branded him

So, Dan Ashworth to Utd. You can say it’s hard to turn down Utd, but it’s telling in regards to Newcastle’s hitting a glass ceiling, imo. He’s done all he can really do there - which is mad considering their wealth. Another PSR casualty.

You've got to love how the media are trying to keep the Mbappe to Real story relevant. Breaking news recently that he told PSG he will leave at the end of the season, then there will be a big song and dance when he signs for Real even though anyone with a hole in their arse have known for months that's where he's going.

Sky Sports News will have Gary Cotterill following his and his families every move until he moves and all the time Cotterill will look like he has no idea what is going on.Gash wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 1:17 pm You've got to love how the media are trying to keep the Mbappe to Real story relevant. Re: General Transfer Thread
Jim Ratcliffe sounding very much like the door is open for Greenwood to return after his loan.
He said: "We will make a decision, correct. All I can do is talk about the principle of how we will approach decisions like that. Is he the right type of footballer, are we happy with if is he a good person or not?
"He's a Manchester United footballer, so we are in charge of football. So the answer is 'Yeah, we have to make decisions. It's quite clear we have to make a decision. There is no decision that's been made. He's on-loan obviously, but he's not the only one. We've got one or two footballers that we have to deal with and we have to make a decision on so we will do that.
"The process will be: understand the facts not the hype, and then try and come to fair decision on the basis of values, which is basically is he a good guy or not? Could he play sincerely for Manchester United well, would we be comfortable with it and would the fans be comfortable with it?"

Can’t wait to see how much he whacks up the price of everything

Re: General Transfer Thread
Ratcliffe also wanting public funding for a new 'Wembley stadium in the north' (in Manchester of course

Maybe we should request redirecting some of those funds here considering it was the government who effectively removed the private funding for ours?
