Don't see much wrong with what he's said personally. Whole lotta flapping over nothing. He wants to see progress, doesn't think we're ready to take massive leaps (he's right, look at the squad) but if we can get into European spots, like the clubs mentioned, then that's a positive step forward. Wants us to be competing near the top. Genuinely baffled why people have issues with this, would we not all happily take European qualification and top 6 next year? Is this issue that the clubs he mentioned are considered smaller even though they're clearly better than us right now?

Don't get me wrong, I voted no a month or so ago because in my mind the team selections were woeful and I think he cost us European football. Naming unchanged sides like we'd just come off the back of a 3-0 win, when in fact we'd just come off bottling a lead and throwing points away, was criminal for me....but I don't see anything wrong with what he's saying here.

He is who he is and although it makes it hard to accept it we shouldn’t be the least bit surprised.

He has always had an amazing ability to take a glass of any amount of liquid and make it look half empty.

What a miserable bloke he must be to have around your place of work.

I think if he says weve got to start operating like them as the 1st step thats 1 thing. He doesnt appear to be talking short term though. The long term ambition is Brentford and Bournemouth because we arent capable of more. If thats the dream its not exactly ambitious but on top of that theres no sign of much compentcy never mind their level of it. If thats the dream its probably a dream we arent capable of under moyes

Why don’t we all just calm down a bit until the transfer window closes and then lose our shit if we haven’t improved tge squad considerably, people losing their shit now over how they have interpreted a throw away comment that means fuck all is really fucking boring.

You’re in the wrong thread if you want talk about the transfer window. This is about the manager.

Because we'll been here before and know how it goes.

"Difficult market to operate in with our financial constraints"
"World Cup caused people to wait to buy/sell"
"World Cup inflated prices"
"Players waiting to see if a team in Europe would come in, and we can't offer that"
"We had no idea Ndiaye wanted to leave and we had to change our plans"
"Jarrad's Injury didnt heal as planned"

Throw away comments like his response to the fans frustrations after Spurs. He's taken no accountability and provided any explaination into the abject failure of why his side failed to pick up only 3 points from 7 games.

We've had the Burnley case rear it's ugly head again and now his latest comments of why we should be looking to match the ambitions of Bournemouth and Brentford.

The early indications are that the end of season disaster is filtering into the summer already and possibly into the next campaign.

His comments are garbage and they don't help one bit. Maybe he should step back a bit and think before he speaks.

But yeah roll on transfer deadline day as that's when all the fun happens right?

Yeah, you guys are right, let’s just chuck the towel in now and write the season off, oh the joys of being so negative.

That’s the spirit Davey, let’s go all out with the ambition. I don’t know why I bother

Can you tell us one positive thing to think about right now with the club?

If I lived my life again, I'd have told my dad no, and supported the shite

Pains me to say it but I'd be so much happier.
