Re: Jack Grealish
We are gonna get suckered into paying a lot of money for him here
If the player has any sense any talk of reviving his city career will have to come with a contract offer

Re: Jack Grealish
You can go into all kinds of mental gymnastics ruminating over this signing.
Give McNeil's and Coleman's wages towards his, agree another loan fee and just take him.
Levels above anything else we have. Worry about the future when we're there.

Re: Jack Grealish
Don't think theres anyone that doesnt want grealish in the squad next season. The finances of it are just a worry.
I think wed be looking at 150k a week for 3 years and a 20m fee. Thats too much for me

Re: Jack Grealish
For as good as he is, he has a history of various injuries which are a concern. My fear is another sustained spell on the sidelines next season.
Got to be looking at better value across continents.
Unless it's another loan it's a no from me.
Have Vasco De Gama or similar not got another Rayan out there?

Yeah, come on lads.
Passing up a CL level assist machine.
Just get movement around him, a left back that bombs forward drawing a player away from him.
It's not just his assisting ability.
A few of those late goals don't happen as frequently with his ball hogging ability.
Get him back in as soon as.

Re: Jack Grealish
IF Man City want him back, there isn't anything we can do about it on a practical level unless he himself decides to throw a strop but that seems unlikely..?
Might just be paper bollocks, but on us to find out and either get it done at a reasonable cost, or look to move on to other targets.
OR crazy thought, use the kid we signed already to play on the wing.

Re: Jack Grealish
There is a pretty good chance even if he does go back he'd come back a year from now on a free unless he really becomes pivotal at Man City. Possible, but it's hard to imagine he plays ahead of Doku these days.
Re: Jack Grealish
The reality is if he wasn't on such a significant wage and didn't have a reputation for enjoying the ale as much as he does would we even be a consideration for him, or someone of his quality? The answer is no.
We have a piss poor hand to play in this game. The opportunity is there to sign a player that's far too good for us, because of the factors above.
Our choices are
A: we sign a CL quality player, accept his lifestyle and the fact we're paying through the nose for it.
B: sign some winger that's in his mid to late 20s, been around the block and will do a steady job but not really progress
C: Buy young, look to develop and turn into a world beater
When you then factor in Moyes, I don't think option C is even an option, so for me, it has to be A if it's still a viable option

Re: Jack Grealish
But but he sang "One more year "
Seriously let's just hope we don't do the usual all our eggs in one basket approach... because we've been burnt before, you'd think we'd learnt our lesson....
