Yeah I think we have to let people feel devastated when you have two devastating finishes to games like we have.

We'll all have time to look at the bigger picture over the summer, but if you can't feel devastated after losing in the 100th minute to your hated rivals, and then following that up by losing a 3-1 lead with 10ish minutes to go against one of the form teams in Europe, when can you?

If we miss out on Europe, no matter how far we've come, it'll hurt and it'll feel very much like our own fault.

Yeah that second half performance was absolutely fantastic, apart from 2 moments, so whilst it's a bitter pill to swallow I think the level we played at is a huge positive.

The performances of Rohl and Tim, Barry in the main... That's an exciting part of last night too. 3 young players all shining and giving hope that they can play a bigger part next season.

Although with Rohl I think the type of game helped him massively, he's not a right winger and games where we need to be more on the front foot won't suit him out there imo. Needs to be central and not out wide for the majority of games.

Yeah that 2nd goal for them was the difference for me. If we'd just managed a few minutes at 3-1 you'd hope we would have closed it out ok, but to give away such a stupid, simple goal like that immediately was a shocker. Proper schoolboy switching off stuff.

Turning points of the game for me:
illy - missed chances could've easily had a hatrick....very un-ndiaye like not to take at least one....and had opportunities to square it to someone but didn't.....
their second goal - went to sleep right from kick off totally switched off...very school boy errorish.....
The subs: - came on looked lost and out of position - all game rohl & irebounam was closing them down on the edge of the
box very quickly...hence only the one goal scored.....no one closed him down at all for the third goal just stood and watched...space just opened up....and everyone in the ground knew what he was gonna do..
Overall if you'd of asked before the game would you take 0-0 draw( a draw) 99.9% would probably have said yes...
said at the time pre 90 mins...he'll put at least 6 mins on here...they scored after 97 mins...no matter what "delays" would of occurred..if that had been manu or them beating them at home the whistle would of gone dead on 96 mins...( bitch...bitch i know)

Positives:
second half performance...ROHL & Irebounam were immense...
Barry - when he was coming on i honestly thght of fkk me get george on...2 goals..what do i know..
The fight back against them to take a 2 goal lead shows our capabilities especially the way they dominated possession for most of the game...
Hopefully take that second half performance into the next few games...

Last night was a perfect example of why we absolutely cannot have Tarks and Keane starting another match together once this season is done.

Although with Keane signing a new deal and Tarks probably not leaving you know Moyes will be tempted to do it again. And again.

The derby broke me. I didn't even really feel much last night.

It doesnt matter where we were 18 months ago, last night we were 3-1 up with 10 mins to play. You have to have the tactical nous and discipline to hold on to that lead. Especially after what happened the last home game.

I just cant be fucking bothered with this club. Every single time we have any hint of an opportunity, we fuck it up. Its just utterly devastating, year after year after year.

Has anything official been said about the penalty ? Why are we allowing this to happen pretty much every game?

Frustrating that we didn't even play that well. Our hold up play while it was 3-2 was abysmal, there were occasions where we could have gone long to the corner and failed to, and we gave away a few cheap throw ins that just kept the Citeh pressure up.

Best Newcastle in the last 15 at their place.

Grabbed a draw at Leeds in the last 15.

Snatched a draw at Brighton with only seconds on the clock.

And that's only in the last 6 months.

Don't disagree, maybe recovering from grief shouldn't be rushed/pushed.
