Questions from who? Even if he was playing abysmally, which he isn't, any other English keeper is multiple levels below him so bar an injury those naïve questions are pointless

If I gave a toss about England I’d certainly be saying - do we want a keeper who can’t handle crosses?

Seems logical to assume you're asking the same from an Everton perspective?

Definitely!

Obviously we don’t have the options England has so more difficult for us when the upside is clearer elsewhere.

It's a known thing with him though and hasn't really been an issue in his England performances so I can't imagine why it would suddenly become an issue.

He has periods where he can come and punch a ball.

He has periods like now where he’s just completely useless.

Having Tarkowski + Another swarming round him trying to 'protect' him from being crowded is insane. Leave him be. If forwards want to impede him then let them and we'll take the free kick. If you've got our players wrestling in the same area then we won't ever get any decisions. Leave the keeper to himself, and use the two players currently doing fuck all to attack the ball and try and win the header.

He's many things, but he is far from completely useless

Decision making seems to have gone south recently.

Flying out for balls where he really has no business doing and staying put when he should really be coming out.

Same for all keepers and you only really notice if it ends up costing you but recently it has been.

Great that, seeing Wayne back at Finch Farm first and then Picks explaining to him the art of staying loyal to Everton.

Lovely insights about Seamus too.
